Because Mariah's music was more R&B at that time.

I remember finding out that RNTTRO was a top 15 hit in Denmark and being so surprised! I never knew the original before her cover!

Okay well this is how I find out that it was a cover haha. Add another one to the list!

Edit: I know this is FIY thread, but I think Kara Dioguardi really had some great lyrical contributions to the album. Sometimes it's fun to imagine albums written almost exclusively by one songwriter or another. I also sometimes wonder...what if Celine never did any covers on albums like FIY and saved all her covers for a Covers Album like some other artists have done before. I'm sure it would've sold like crazy.

Last week I was listening the album FIY twice and of course the song. This epic album is timeless, while I was listened FIY album I enjoyed it even more. You know what I mean.
I cried, a lot of memories 🥹♥️.

Hello!

I haven't been here for quite a bit, and since FIY is nearing it's 30th, my love for it resurfaced lol.

I have been looking for a certain version of FIY for a very long time now. The specimen I saw was in my uni's DJ booth at one of the events. I knew someone, so I was able to flip through the CDs. There's this FIY that's exactly like the 483961.2 version, tracks and all, except for the disc itself. Instead of white with blue print, it is just a gray print. Similar to this Spice Girls CD. I didn’t think much of it at the time coz I thought maybe it was a different release that I could just buy. But nope, it’s been forever, and I still have no clue which country it was released in. 

Do you have any insights into this?

I think it would have been the South Korean version! That has a silver disc with a blue (ghost) Céline!
