It is weird 50 people suffer the same illness at the same time! It should not be as much as 50!

And they call it minor in the press releases. :rolleyes: I wonder who is lying here.

Celine is being treated with antibiotics for a minor throat infection and irritated sinuses that she has been suffering from for a number of days since arriving in Australia.

I feel really bad for all the Fans who had tickets. I know I would be heartbroken. Sorry you guys(and Gals). I wish there was something we could do.

The fans in Beijing could consider coming to Shanghai to see the show, the date of Shanghai´s show stay the same. So try to buy the tickets of 11/04, and reserve as soon as possible the hotel, everything gonna be okay. And I'm so sorry that the show in Beijing was cancelled. I think it's serious this time.I'm from china.I am concerned about her illness.not one concert cancelled.

Another reason I think they tried to accommodate the concert in an indoor stadium is bullshit is, how can they accommodate 60K people in a 10K-15K indoor stadium? Cancel some tickets, or make 4 dates? It's just impossible. I think they said that just try to show they tried everything they can.

2009 after the USA? Wouldnt that also be in February or March??? So again the sand problem. I hope that she will come, but I doubt it...

There's nothing worse that hearing a concert you have tickets for is now cancelled or postponed. Clearly Celine / Rene have there reasons for cancelling but it is a shame on all the fans who have made arrangements to get to the show.
And I have front row.

I'm so sorry, Bellamy. I certainly feel for you (and all the other fans who were supposed to attend the concert). It's terrible it's not postponed but cancelled. I know it's frustrating and disappointing when something you have planned for gets cancelled, whether it's a concert or a flight or anything else in that matter, although we all know these things happen for various reasons. And losing a front row seat on top of everything else.. :down:

So sorry for all you guys that have tickets to this concert. I really feel for you, I know how it is, she cancelled due to illness when I went to Vegas. But I can't be upset with her. Would you rather have her sing, even though she's not well, and risk her voice and risk some kind of permanent damage or would you rather have her cancel on you, but know her voice will be well for years and years to come, no risks. I'd take the second any time. It hurts, cause you all wanted to see her so bad, but things like this happen. Let's all just be happy she doesn't have any bad disease or something, just a bad case of flu.

She didn't cancel any other stop, but Beijing only. This is different. I would prefer them tell the truth, there's no way they can re-accommodate the concert in an indoor stadium, instead of pretending they tried everything they can. And the promise of 2009 sounds very pale to me.

Ya, "we'll do it in 2009" doesn't sound too convincing right now... But hey, they promised Nelson Mandela they'll do concerts in South Africa and they did. And many of them and amazing. So maybe they will come back in China in 2009 just to keep their promise

i feel for all u guys out there! i no when ltal was cancelled in parts i actually cried for like a week couldnt beleive i wasnt gonna get to c her!! think that beijing is risky for her just now cos of all the sand but also the smog in the atmoshpere especially if doing out door concert! does she not have asthma too.. which would be awful for her if affected by the smog!! was reading an artictle today how Beijing have been told to try and sort something out with all the smog before the olympics as it will affect all the atheletes performances as will be hard to breathe. so maybe this too is a factor of why she is cancelling them until 2009. as if she was badly affected at start of tour the consequences would be even worse than wat they are already!! am not makin excuses as i no how u all must be feeling but i would rather have a healthy celine than a non healthy celine!! xxxx

That's really sad for the Chineese fans who would have only visit this one concert...and I really doubt that they will do the concert in China after the USA......Celine needs by all means a long rest after the USA....but at least many Chineese fans will see her in Shanghai..... This is devestating news for the fans in Beijing. I am sure she will try to come back and perform for you next year...stay positive.
We just don't want Celine getting sick again and cancelling more shows...it must be causing Rene and her management so much stress...and poor Celine must feel awful.

And,to be honest...it's difficult to say and I hope I'm wrong...but...personally,I think the promise of 2009 isn't gonna be kept. -_-

I guess they have no choice but to cancel some shows due to Australia concerts taking longer than originally planned... :shrug:

Of course not. It's Celine and the organizer would lose money for canceling the concert. They have to refund all tickets now, and Celine may have to pay a lot to the organizer too.

But after canceling Beijing concert, I'm almost sure there's no chance for Celine sing in Beijing Olympics now. In fact, I didn't really expect she would win anyway. I just feel pity she won't sing the special song for Beijing Olympics anymore.

the MOST important thing is their health now! and it's the right decision

Ok, if it was only her, i'm sure she would have gone on the stage and sang! I know many singers who sang on their concerts when they had high temperature and cold , but! she and the management can't risk the health of the other part of the team ( which is 50 ppl)

and I believe, they gonna come back after US concerts.....especially after all u guys wrote here....
