On a donc annulé et on ira l’an prochain», a déclaré M. Angélil. ******Translation : Causing a respiratory tract infection which prevented him from singing, Celine Dion was forced to postpone the first three performances in Australia of his show Taking Chances and modify the schedule of eight shows scheduled on the continent. Celine is unable to go on stage. She caught a virus in Asia, during the tour, and the symptoms have surfaced in Australia. In fact, some fifty people from the team Celine have caught this virus seriously, René Angélil understood, on a smaller scale. Maman Dion and Rene-Charles has been spared. "It is better today" "Celine came here (in Sydney) a renowned specialist who has spent her tests," said René Angélil. His lungs are fine. She also saw an ENT, to be sure that his vocal cords are not attacked. Everything is beautiful. "However, she coughs and she received medicine for cough and antibiotics. It is better now and should be able to sing in 48 hours, "he says. Production has rescheduled the eight concerts in Australia. The new timetable has an impact as far as China and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where dates are also changed. "We learnt that there were sand storms in Beijing in March and April. The promoter tried to find a room in the interior, that of the Olympic arena basketball, but it has not worked. Just when we learned the news, the doctor came to tell us that this was not a good idea to go sing there on the outside. It was therefore cancelled and will go on next year, "said Angélil. "A lot of pressure ... " Most fans of the singer have learned by radio, TV or coming to the theatre. There was nothing in the newspapers, the events having arrived too quickly. "It looks at the last minute, admits René Angélil, hoping that the artist will be correct. " The closest team René Angélil happening these days of a meeting to another to rearrange everything. "It's a lot of work, admits Angélil, and Céline is aware of that. It's a lot of pressure on his shoulders. " This is the first time Celine gets sick during the tour Taking Chances, which leads on all continents. After China and Kuala Lumpur, the tour will continue in Europe. Bellamy Posted March 29, 2008 at 02:34 PM Posted March 29, 2008 at 02:34 PM WTF!!! If sand in Beijing is a problem, why they don't choose a interior stadium at first? Quote Please support the forum by ordering everything through our special Amazon.com link Click here. Thank you!

Shamrock_1982 Posted March 29, 2008 at 02:38 PM Posted March 29, 2008 at 02:38 PM its a shame, but her health and the health of her team/family are more important, if they are to get better, and continue the world tour....it would be stupid for her to get better and go to beijing to possibly get ill again if conditions there are not good! Its great she will reschedule though!! JessCC Posted March 29, 2008 at 02:43 PM Posted March 29, 2008 at 02:43 PM I'm guessing the events management people didn't think of that when they decided to bring her in during this time. WTF!!! If sand in Beijing is a problem, why they don't choose a interior stadium at first? Quote
nano Posted March 29, 2008 at 02:47 PM Posted March 29, 2008 at 02:47 PM that's really sad for the fans...but it's a good thing they are doing the concert in 2009. Quote "Today, I’m a person on a path of connecting with my source and understanding that I am on the leading edge of creation.."

Shaun Posted March 29, 2008 at 03:21 PM Posted March 29, 2008 at 03:21 PM There's nothing worse that hearing a concert you have tickets for is now cancelled or postponed. Clearly Celine / Rene have there reasons for cancelling but it is a shame on all the fans who have made arrangements to get to the show. No sand at all. Even it is, get an indoor stadium. I'm sure it's money talks here. Indoor stadium won't be as profitable to them. I'm also sure the Chinese press would bash her soon.
