By the way, did you go over the comments on the said video? The guy is gay! He was mouthing "Fabulous". Quote http://cdn.webecoist.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/modern-pet-solo-blown-glass.jpg
Black Kitten Posted July 22, 2008 at 10:28 AM Posted July 22, 2008 at 10:28 AM i don't normally read comments when i'm watching a video in YouTube, but yeah i think he's gay. but there's another version of the "would you mind" performance from All for You Tour. the guy janet picked from the audience is black and he's totally hot! Prince Whiskers Posted July 22, 2008 at 10:32 AM Posted July 22, 2008 at 10:32 AM Do you have the Live In Hawaii DVD, dhena? It supposedly features 5 WYM "sessions". Quote http://cdn.webecoist.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/modern-pet-solo-blown-glass.jpg
Black Kitten Posted July 22, 2008 at 11:54 AM Posted July 22, 2008 at 11:54 AM the only Janet dvds i have are The Velvet Rope Tour, Design of a Decade & From janet. to Damita Jo. i don't think the Live in Hawaii concert dvd was released here. 5 sessions of WYM? i didn't know it took her that long to complete a "moaning song" Quote
Prince Whiskers Posted July 22, 2008 at 12:02 PM Posted July 22, 2008 at 12:02 PM 5 sessions of WYM? i didn't know it took her that long to complete a "moaning song" I mean the DVD contains not just 1 but 5 live performances of this song. And there was supposedly one handpicked guy that was made to go back down the stage bec. Janet didn't like his "attitude'. Prince Whiskers Posted July 24, 2008 at 08:34 AM Posted July 24, 2008 at 08:34 AM Um, dhena, would you "shift territory" for Janet? Accdng. to one survey, most women would go gay for Angelina Jolie. And men would for Johnny Depp. Quote http://cdn.webecoist.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/modern-pet-solo-blown-glass.jpg

Black Kitten Posted July 24, 2008 at 08:55 AM Posted July 24, 2008 at 08:55 AM i have no idea. i don't have her album, and i thank God for not buying it LOL her voice is as awful as Ashlee Simpson. Quote
Prince Whiskers Posted July 24, 2008 at 08:58 AM Posted July 24, 2008 at 08:58 AM BTW, the original idea was for Janet to pick women instead of men for her Would You Mind holy act, but they thought doing so might earn media criticism. And CBS recently got fined $500,000 for the Superbowl incident. Quote http://cdn.webecoist.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/modern-pet-solo-blown-glass.jpg
Black Kitten Posted July 24, 2008 at 09:20 AM Posted July 24, 2008 at 09:20 AM (edited) the "lesbian" rumours (i think it's the title of lindsay's album ) is an old issue actually. "The Velvet Rope" solidified the media's suspicions that janet is actually a lesbian. (listen to "Speaker Phone" interlude in that album where she's SOP-ing with a girl on the other line), but she denied all those rumors. maybe that's why they changed the original idea for WYM. as for the infamous malfunction, it was all well planned, for hopes of boosting the sales of Damita Jo. i always believe it was never an accident. GoldenLeaf Posted July 26, 2008 at 02:32 AM Posted July 26, 2008 at 02:32 AM (edited) She's definitely not lesbian though I don't think she's 100% straight either. She's probably bi-sexual like Madonna. Edited July 26, 2008 at 02:33 AM by Calypso Quote

Ray Posted March 8, 2009 at 10:55 AM Posted March 8, 2009 at 10:55 AM Maybe it's better to move the Janet discussion to her own topic (and not continue it in the Mariah topic)? I think the 'breast incident' has nothing to do with her not being so popular anymore. I was a HUGE fan and bought all her albums and lots of cdsingles. BUT when she started releasing awful albums like "All for you" I don't bother buying her albums unless they are bottom price... Black Kitten Posted March 8, 2009 at 11:30 AM Posted March 8, 2009 at 11:30 AM i just think Nick's right. she should stop whispering her songs. the Discipline album, while i consider it her best record since The Velvet Rope, she whispers all her songs like there's no tomorrow. i hardly understand what she's singing, but it's an amazing album. talk about diversity and consistency. her best records to date are Rhythm Nation 1814 and janet. (can't really choose which one is her best as both are almost flawless). here's my ranking:Rhythm Nation 1814 / janet.ControlThe Velvet RopeDiscipline20 Y.O.Dream StreetDamita JoJanet JacksonAll for You she's still a legendary artist. she's an icon. it's just so hard to look at her flopping. Damita Jo, 20 Y.O, Discipline, Rock Witchu Tour and her more recent singles all flopped. i don't think she should retire. she still has a lot to offer. she's a very humble person, she's talented, she's versatile, she still can do it. she just needs to learn how to sing and reunite with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, the men who made the artist she is today. I agree with both of you. I think she should have a huge comeback with a new, non-whispering R&B album that's well-produced and written. She's not even 45 yet, she still has a lot to offer in the industry! I'm sure if she did that she'd be back on top again. She's the only other really famous Jackson that has not gone crazy yet(but I still love Michael's 80's career) Quote http://i51.tinypic.com/2uf4r5f.png
Black Kitten Posted March 13, 2009 at 01:27 AM Posted March 13, 2009 at 01:27 AM Discipline jumps to #107 on the BB200, 16 weeks on and #10 @ R&B Charts! Quote
LuisMa Posted March 16, 2009 at 11:23 AM Posted March 16, 2009 at 11:23 AM Dhena, what has spurred the latest Janet interest? The album has been gaining for like 4 weeks in-a-row now! Quote
Black Kitten Posted March 16, 2009 at 11:33 AM Posted March 16, 2009 at 11:33 AM not only Janet. Mariah's E=MC2 also re-entered the charts and stayed for 2 weeks. it was because of the clearance sale @ Circuit City. E=MC2 and Discipline were available for only $3.99 @ Circuit City. i think all Circuit City stores has been finally closed last March 8, so Discipline is almost impossible to stay in the charts next week. LuisMa Posted March 16, 2009 at 12:01 PM Posted March 16, 2009 at 12:01 PM What a horrible scenario for the music business. I used to buy stuff at Circuit City and thought it was great. Then Virgin strores have also been closing down. Quote
