Exactly I think it's only an album/video promotion... but many TVs and internet sites already comfirmed it.

I won't believe anything until Mariah herself comfirms it. She'll be on ''The View'' this Monday (but the show airs on Friday) ... so they'll probably ask her about this.

Correct me if my memory is wrong, but TCH (190k) sold more than E=MC2 (182k) on its 2nd week in the US, right? Too bad Celine didn't get enough promotion on radio and by Sony, and she had to compete with the Alicia Keys-Clive Davis promo juggernaut, Josh Groban's monster holiday album, and the Eagles' much-anticipated comeback offering.

 

I'm not surprised that E=MC2 isn't making much of a dent outside the US. RNB is a very American genre. Madonna and Celine are more universal singers than the Holiest With The Boobsiest.

May 02, 2008. Ever since we first broke the news of Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey's engagement, media around the globe has been scrambling to find out details about Mariah and Nick Cannon's nuptials. Well MediaTakeOut.com has the EXCLUSIVE INSIDE SCOOP.

 

We spoke EXCLUSIVELY with a member of Mariah's inner circle who gave us the scoop on what went down. First things first - the insider told MediaTakeout.com that Mariah and Nick are definitely "married".

 

But here's the tricky part - what exactly does it mean to be "married." According to our insider, the marriage between Mariah and Nick wasn't an official wedding, but rather commitment ceremony. The source explained to MediaTakeOut.com, "It wasn't about filing paperwork, it was about showing each other how much they loved each other. It was simple and lovely ... [and] they put it together so fast no paparazzi were there to crash it."

 

Mariah's pal wasn't sure on whether the two planned on "doing the paperwork" to make their marriage legal.

 

The insider also wasn't sure of whether the two might enter into a prenuptial agreement. But Mariah's pal did tell MediaTakeOut.com, "The media always try to portray Mariah as some ditsy diva, but she's one of the smartest business people I know. She's not at all careless with her finances."

 

And there's more. Apparently Mariah's new video for the song Bye Bye was set to debut this week on MTV and BET. The video stars Nick Cannon and was shot (in part) in the Bahamas. But now MediaTakeOut.com is hearing that Nick (who also directed the video) is re-editing the video with some "last minute additions." Could it be footage from the couple's "wedding." We'll see soon enough - the video is set to premiere next week.

No, manuel, Céline fell 3-8 following ONLY a 40% sales decrease to 128,000. Mariah did a 61% decrease. But according to UWC:

 

Celine 2nd week 296k

Mariah 2nd week 289k

 

Céline did better worldwide.

 

BTW, next week Mariah is supposed to do another -50% selling around 90k.

Here we go Breakdown Part 2. I don't know what is happening but they just cancelled Mariah's appearance at ''The View''... no video premier date, no more TV Shows, she hasn't done any promotion this week, nothing is planed for the next, everything is cancelled, crazy rumours are everywhere, the album started to flop even in the USA and I don't like this situation. Honestly I dont think she will flop in Usa! but if it will happen it is not because of no promotion, she did what she did and it didnt show the results they expected since the beginning:

 

No strong debut: 600K as predicted

I disagree. First of all they expected around 500k and they almost get it and second of all it was her biggest openning week. She had some promotion during the first week (she had Oprah, American Idol and BET Special) and that was all. She had GMA and Regis and Kelly at the end of the second week but I don't think we can consider GMA as promotion because of the lipping fiasco which I think has to be a good lesson for her.

The predictions are the album to sell 85-90k for the 3d week. Look at TEOM statistics:

Its not just those two..but its actually a large section of people who strive by bringing others down with derogatory remarks and insults...its usually because theyre either jealous or threatened by the person also cuz they will NEVER be as successful or renowned as the person either. Its a sad imitation of strength, one should pity such characters. Laugh it off and enjoy the music.
