EXACTLY!! I am almost certain that segment on the AND DVD was put there only so that they could keep away rumours of playbacked performances.... "oh she must sing live all songs, why else would her brother stand there ready to remind her how to sing Ammore Anascunotto phonetically, in case she sudenly forgot. or shall I say her playback track forgot... I mean why would they do that?" - seriously WHY would they do that.

Ammore Anascunotto is LIVE though, isn't it? I thought the playbacks were just: TPOL, IACBTMN, TLYM, IDAN, SM (high part), IS (high part), IGTWOAS (last note), IW & MHWGO... :hmm:

 

I understand what you mean, but notice that Michel is only shown doing that job on the DVD during BYLM and AA (I think) - actual 'live' songs.

 

On the DVD he is shown in other parts of the stage during playbacks, so I don't think that segment is shown entirely to stop rumours...

I didn't even think of it that way till you mentioned it... Way to bring the whole playback discussion back from the dead... :doh:

:shrug: :innocent:

 

I didn't mean that, I just wanted to point out an akward moment, in quite pointless extra which could had been replaced with the oh so more faboulus cut out performances like Fever, At Last, TFTEISYF, WAWW and Nature Boy!

Must admit the last time i saw AND i missed seeing WAWW at the end. :cry: I thought it was a lovely way to end it, and to see how many times you saw yourself on the screen!! :clap: It wasn't the same just walking out of the theatre to an instrumental WAWW. :nono:

I want 'Shadow of Love' and 'I'm Alive' from Pretoria. The way Celine ends these songs are exceptional!!!!!!

Of all the bootlegs from both the A New Day show and the world tour I haven't heard a single song that were in playback!

The Tanking Chances special is the only concert where SOME of the songs were in playback.

If you say that some of the songs were recorded live and then used as playback, why would they then use some of the studio tracks as playbacksong?

to be honest i couldnt care less if she sang a few songs playback - we all say that we want her to keep on going and going and the only way to do that, with the amount she works, is to sing a few songs playback now and again to look after her voice. i cant really believe that we are discussing this at all - i thought this was the topic for the tour dvd, not another topic about what she sings playback and when and all that rubbish.

it was an honour and such a wonderful experience to see her live and when everyone constantly goes on about how she sings playback, it starts to detract slightly from the wonderful night I had back in May and how incredible an artist she is. :down:

Long notes in I Surrender were lipped? :cry: :blink: I am new on ofrum, I am new fan. And I thought that Celine sings live at Vegas and TC tour and I was really shocked when I read topic about playback and videos on youtube. I thought Celine is only diva who disn't loose her voice. Mariah lost her voice, Whitney as well. I thought Celine is the best female vocalist on the Earth together with Christina Aguilera. Now I wonder does Celine can sing her old hard songs... All difficult song's in Vegas were lipped except IS, I thught. But I am shocked. Does Celine can sing her difficult songs? For me, as new fan, it's really sad she can't sign her difficult sogns. You can say she are lsoting her voice. I'm really shocinkg and sad. Can you post which sogns on Taking Cahnces Tour are lipped and which aren't? And did she sing her old hard songs after Vegas LIVE? Maybe there are many TV programmes where artists can't sing in playback and Celine perform there? I thinik Oprah is always live but she sang there only TC and Alone, not as hard songs as TPOL or ABM. I am really sad... And when has Celine sung LIVE MHWGO recently? Dancing With The Stars? It's very hard song...

Calm down , Celine still has her voice she lipped because you try singing 5 nights a week for 5 years...lot of strain on the voice.

 

Celine sang I drove all night live at the Today show after Vegas, All by myself is 100% live on this tour no matter what others say. MHWGO was sang live not long ago at dancing with the stars. Because You Loved Me is always live...the only song that she hasnt sang live in forever is It's All Coming Back to Me Now.

 

She's fine her voice is still in top shape and if you dont beleive me look up a song called

"map to my heart" recorded last year

 

NOW lets end this LIPPING discussion!
