According to Celinedion.com the deadline to RSVP for the taping of the show here in Los Angeles has been EXTENDED til Jan 9. That's cutting it kinda close dont you think?

I want to see a source instead of rumors or rubbish lies

I doubt that's real. I don't understand why she would sing a French song for a US special especially off an album that was released over a year ago. CBS wouldn't allow it as people would just switch the channel. She's doing this to promote TC so she will probably sing TC, Alone, and whatever the next single for the US will be for sure plus some old standards like MHWGO and BYLM.

UGH that is so frustrating! I just read the information right now on teamceline and it doesn't surprise me. When I E-mailed them about attending the screening of Taking Chances in Las Vegas, they didn't tell me I could attend until a day before and that's not much notice for someone who lives in southern California! I assume it's probably going to be the same thing with this taping.

Well, it looks like I won't be going to the taping since they're waiting so long to let everybody know. The only glimmer of hope is if I get picked and airfare rates haven't been jacked up so high that it breaks my bank account.

I was thinking of doing that. I got a chance to attend the World Music Awards back in 2004 because of Seatfiller.com. I even got moved up to the pit and was within a handshake of Celine.

My only problem with using them for a Celine Dion show is because there's always the possibility of being moved around. Technically you are there working for them. If you don't abide by their rules (such as speaking to celebrities unless you're spoken to first) you can be blacklisted from ever being able to be a Seatfiller through them again. Considering what profession I want to do in the longrun of my life I can't take the chance of getting too excited, shouting something to Celine, and then whomever is in charge getting angry and blacklisting me. It's sad to say, but that's how "the biz" works. All it takes is one person to bad-mouth someone and it can take months or years to prove your name as good.

I know, I'm putting WAY too much thought into this, but I'm a Virgo, it's to be expected I suppose. LOL

I think it's unfortunate that she'll be singing her old songs again but then, this special is potentially HUGE considering the kind of celebrity fans that she has! Imagine people like Oprah, Michael Douglas, Timbaland, Timberlake, Britney(gasp!) as among the celeb spectators! I hope she won't be getting a B-list crowd and who could be hosting the show? I'm sure there will be SOME songs from the new album. This isn't only promotion of her new album, though. She has to sell out those arenas. And her "hits" will sell the seats.

That's a shame! Lots of good material being wasted with old one... Maybe they're hoping to waste Céline's image with old stuff so that they don't have to promote her with new material and make her sell big. Maybe they don't want to make money anymore because they're sick and tired of it... :ermm:

Well if it's called Celine Dion: The woman in me....it would be stupid if she doesnt sing Thats Just The Woman In Me.

SHE NEEDS TO SING MORE THAN 2-3 SONGS FROM TAKING CHANCES! Sorry for the capital letters but I had to scream it!!

Celine herself said that she is sometimes tired of singing some old songs like MHWGO and that she wants to have fun with her new album which is edgier, more uptempo....it's a great opportunity for her to do it and she wont do it??? I just cant believe it!

I'm sure most of her old fans already bought the album TC. It's about the time to show the other people what this album is about!!!!

I can't wait until next week! Not because I'm able to go (cuz I'm not obviously) but because those of you that do go, will be able to tell us what she sang, so that we won't be talking about rumors (which are hopefully false because i'm not liking what I'm hearing).

I got mine too...I'm thinking seatfiller and teamceline is fair game...I believe it's first come first serve, so not sure if it matters at all
