Is this an insight into the mindset of sony? Shouldn't the goal of the special be to promote the new album as opposed to ALL her albums? I thought that was a weird statement to make.

 

rerelease of ANDHC...makes no sense to me.

The main goal is yes, to promote the album and make it sell good.... but simultaneously other people will buy her other albums/backcatalogue too, it's just basically in one package.. It's the same as when a new album is out; not only will the new album make the charts, older albums also make the charts.

Well I am sickntired of her doing more from her old reportoir then from her new albums. And it's aaaaalways the same old gems....

 

I can't see why - those she can sing as much as she wants when she gets old and grey and despratly clings to the diva dream, now she got a hip new album out, and she acts as if she's not aware of anything being released except perhaps a first single (TC)...

 

If it was a lousy album and she desperatly needed money, I could she why she relies more on her old songs. But I doubt that's the case here, besides Taking Chances is faboulus - she can sing every track on there live and everyone would be a bunch of happy campers.

 

Yet she desperatly clings to the old songs over and over again.

 

And the playback issue, that too she can do as much as she wants when she gets old and grey (see above).

 

Céline - we know you have good and bad days voice wise, but we don't care, you could gurgle water a whole concert through and it would still me more orgasmic than see you strotting around trying to fool us to a 12 year old studio track.

 

Taking Chances is super - believe in it woman!

 

And I guess what I'm basicly saying is that I am so anxiuos to enjoy the new, evolved, matured, not afraid to take risks, dares to do what what's fun rather then see this woman imprisoned and held down by yet another series of best of tracks which we all overplayed more than we'd like to do...

There's absolutely no point in a new CBS special unless it's to showcase songs from "Taking Chances."

 

Sure do a medley of old songs like in the ANDHC special but the majority of songs should be new ones.

Don't you think that she should sing Simply The Best (the way she did it on Les Stars de l'année 2007) for that CBS special??? That would be so hot!!!

 

And I hope that she will sing more than 2-3 songs from Taking Chances!
