She can turn the mic on and off with it then right? Which is what I meant. For playback you need to turn the mic off. I'm not positive on that, but if I'm wrong, I'm sure you will correct me. I'm not trying to start a playback fiasco, I just thought that was what it was used for since it since at those moments she plays with it.

thanks bruno for explaining but i dont remember celine giving this thing any atention like these days she always sings without even touching it but now i think she plays with it alot as i said i noticed it first when she performed on the x factor tc

that happens when she is not secure about the soundcheck.

problems are always happening during a concert.

the soundboard guy are always paying atention to all instruments...

trying to get the best mix...in real time.

 

so sometimes the music can be louder than her voice on her ears...

so this make her change...volume...

 

but on tv shows i guess its because she didnt had time to do a real soundcheck.

 

remember the grammys??

she just said

"nothing...still nothing..."

She plays with the box on her back when switching over from live to playback or vice versa. I think it also controls the sound in her ear, so she could be turning it down or up...etc. She's always had it.

That's the most ridiculors thing I've heard about playback. Celine controls the playback sound system herself. :sofunny:

Oh my God, get over the hair thing! It's not even hair, it's more like fluff, everybody has it, all over the body. It's a big bigger on the legs, it's true, but is it worth the pain to remove it? It's the light that make it look like it's thick, like it does on the hands too.... And you girls, you know hair has to grow a little before you can wax it, otherwise it doesn't work too well! Geeezzz!

Every time I come on the forum, it's either about hair (on the head or other parts) and lipsync... It's getting really boring!

Wrong. So wrong. As Bruno said, the box only controls the overall volume of the signal sent to her ear monitors. It doesn't affect her microphone at all.

 

The signal from her microphone is mixed with all the other audio sources by a sound engineer. Different mixes can be produced for the house, recording, and to feed back to her ear monitors.

 

The ear monitors completely block out external sound, so if the signal is lost or the mix isn't right, then Celine can't hear herself singing or can't hear the music. That's when bad things happen, such as the beginning of "S'il suffisait d'aimer" at the Millennium concert. Sometimes you'll see her fiddling with the box or making signals to the sound engineer. We saw the worst case in "Dance with My Father" on the Grammy Awards, where she heard nothing, so she pulled the ear monitors out and did it the old fashioned way.

As far as I can tell none of us actually criticised Celine for her hairy legs, we were just reporting the news. I think most of think it's pretty amusing and I would hardly feel embarrassed about it if I were Celine. As you say, it needs to grow out a little before you can wax it.

Wow, thank God this is the stage and that it is so different. The other one was sooo cheap and was even uncomfortable to llok at. It wasn't even simply, yet suffisiant and stylish, it was just simple...

 

And I love the screens.

 

And it was amazing that the audience actually seemed to be quiet from that AWTBI vid shot from parkett.

 

However, TPOL... come on, a new prerecorded live track - is that too much?!

 

It was nice to see and hear ABM, but hey, I wouldn't miss it if it left the setlest and took IYA with it.

Hi...this topic is very long with lots of stuff to look at, but it was worth every minute. I've been away with family health matters and I missed all of you guys very much...but I especially missed Celine. It is such a treat to come back and get all these great pics and amazing vids. Keep up the great work...but for those of you who have nothing better to do, lay off the hairy leg thing.
