So, yeah, I'm SO glad I didn't find out this was postponed until I was standing outside of the RBC Center :cry: I don't understand - the roads were fine and there had to be only about 2 inches of snow on the ground -- you could still see blades of grass poking through. Why couldn't Ticketmaster send out an automated text or call to let people know? They've gotta realize not everyone lives in Raleigh - some people "drove all night" to see her and that's not fair for them to not say anything.

I'm definitely trying to go back down tomorrow - I just need someone to proctor an exam for me that night. I can't miss this, I just can't. I'll be leaving at 2:15 and I'm anticipating traffic, but what can ya do?

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Singer Celine Dion has rescheduled her performance at the RBC Center because of the weather.
The show will now be Wednesday, January 21.
Organizers say that state officials have told them that road conditions will be extremely hazardous during the afternoon and evening, so this decision was made in order to avoid dangerous driving conditions for the fans, and to ensure their safety.
Tickets for Tuesday's concert will be honored at the new concert

Officials have announced that road conditions will be extremely hazardous during the afternoon and evening, so this decision was made to avoid dangerous driving conditions for the fans, and to ensure their safety.

Tickets for tonight’s concert will be honored at the new concert date. Fans unable to attend the rescheduled concert can obtain a refund at their original point of purchase

I just got back from Raleigh a little while ago. I left my home in Salisbury, NC (2 hours away) at 1:30pm. I got to Raleigh about 3:30pm. Drove around the RBC Center and surrounding roads. Drove over to NC State (5 minutes away) to say hi to my son. And then drove back to Salisbury. The roads (I40) were a little wet approaching the Wade Ave. Exit. The roads around the RBC Center were wet with a little slush. I don't know what the "State of Emergency" is. I wasted a tank of gas and now I have to drive back tomorrow and use another tank. However, I feel lucky compared to those that have longer drives and hotel rooms and flight reservations to deal with. I see no reason why they could not have the show tonight. I'm originally from Pittsburgh, PA (Go Steelers!) and I have been in the south for 21 years. I still cannot understand the panic that comes when it snows. They need to realize that people make long distance plans and to cancel a show can be very expensive for some fans.

I'm very dissappointed right now. However, I will be able to attend tomorrow. Just not looking forward to that drive again! At least I have Celine and Josh (Groban) to keep me company! Maybe I shouldn't go to any more concerts. I saw Josh Groban in concert in Charlotte and on the way to his show it was postponed. Is someone trying to tell me something?! I was able to make it to Josh's re-scheduled show and just loved it and him! After his concert I said to my friend if Celine or Barbara Streisand ever comes nearby I would pay anything to see them! Two months later tickets for Celine went on sale in Raleigh. Even though it was 2 hours away I plunked down the $150 without hesitation. I hesitated with Josh but went and was so glad I did! I think he sounds 5 times better in person than on his cd's. I am hoping Celine is the same way!!

My ticket is on the side of the stage that juts out. Section 119 Row J Seat 9. I hope they are good seats. However, as I learned with Josh, it doesn't matter where you sit - just to hear them sing live is amazing! We had awful seats for Josh. We were in peanut heaven almost on the back side of the stage. Had to watch the TV to see Josh!

Sorry to be so wordy. Just very dissappointed in the concert cancellation. Besides I didn't have anyone to talk to for 4 hours. Just me, Josh, & Celine singing at the top of our lungs!! I couldn't find anyone to go with me - but I was not going to miss Celine. Looking forward to tomorrow. Hope it doesn't cost some of you too much extra for this cancellation. See you all tomorrow!

Awww....this sucks, but hopefully the weather will be better tomorrow and you'll all be safer. I remember how many people were disappointed in Chicago when they couldn't get to the concert because of the snow.

well well well... i had to call out of work tomorrow and they yelled at me like crazy (i've never called out and there was no one to cover for me)

but its okay, me, trac, kim and britt are all camping out in the hotel listening to some Celine and planning out our day tomorrow. Me and britt are getting up sooo early in the morning to get to the box office and upgrade our seats (thats what is great about this) we checked ticketmaster and they had a second row floor 7 3 seats in a row for 150 each.! thats what I paid for my lower level seat! So it would be way cool just to sell it back and then turn around and buy a floor seat! AHHHHHHHHH! =)

please hope great things for us! i can't believe I'm skipping two days of school and work! oh the things we do for Celine!

I'm sorry to all those who cant end up making it. We talked to those at the hotel and most said they were gonna hang around! =)

You could always get a refund on your ticket. When I checked ticket master they had Section 7 Row 2 available. So you never know. Check online, get the ticket, and then call for a refund

Well that's the problem with shows in the winter, especially THIS winter, you never really know about the weather. I guess the good thing for some of you that came from far away is that the show is tomorrow so it's a little easier since you are already there. It might have been harder if they said it was rescheduled a month from now when you may have not been able to attend. :mellow:

I saw Josh Groban in concert in Charlotte and on the way to his show it was postponed. Is someone trying to tell me something?! I was able to make it to Josh's re-scheduled show and just loved it and him! After his concert I said to my friend if Celine or Barbara Streisand ever comes nearby I would pay anything to see them! Two months later tickets for Celine went on sale in Raleigh. Even though it was 2 hours away I plunked down the $150 without hesitation. I hesitated with Josh but went and was so glad I did! I think he sounds 5 times better in person than on his cd's. I am hoping Celine is the same way!!

Oh boy, sorry for your tough luck going to concerts! And the same for all fans going to the Raleigh concert! No doubt, Celine is feeling bad enough about postponing the show till tomorrow night since she has mentioned how much she understands the planning involved that fans make to get to her concerts. Anyway, if this is your first Celine concert you are in for a treat like no other! She's gonna knock your socks off...voice AND person that she is!!! Well worth the second trip! Enjoyyyyyyy!!! :yes:

Too funny girls - I can imagine cars driving by and wondering!! Let them wonder. I sing in the car all the time. People either think I'm talking to myself or really being dramatic. Hang in there Mary Ann!! The inconvenience of the postponement and driving back and forth stinks but I can assure you, SHE will be WELL WORTH IT!! I had not seen her in concert in years until the 13th in Nashville and I was completely blown away by the show!!!!!!! It was one of my most memorable concerts EVER and I go to quite a few shows!! I grew up in NC and I know how they panic when snow falls. It's just the way it is in the South!! That doesn't make it easier when you make plans, take off work, make hotel or flight reservations, etc. but leave it to the South to declare a state of emergency due to a few inches of snow!!! I'm glad you are driving back today because you will be SO glad you did!! I wish I could be there....I am so sad to miss this show!! Have a blast. I can't wait to see everyone's photos, comments and videos!! I am sure Celine feels very badly about having to postpone. She truly appreciates fans like you!! Be safe and most of all, have fun!!!

These photos are terrific....it shows that you guys can turn the negative into positive experiences!! Might as well have fun while you await the postponed show!! I envy you guys and wish so badly I could be there too!! Sorry to hear you had to take off work and school another day....that stinks but I knew you would figure out a way to make it all work...lol....of course, she's worth it!! Hope everyone has tons of fun tonight and is safe on the way home!!! Can't wait to hear about the show and see pics and videos. I'm going to call my Dad and see what tidbits he has heard on the news about the show being postponed....he's a news junkie!! Where they live and where I grew up is about 90 miles east of Raleigh....they only got one inch of snow!!! I know you guys can't wait to see Celine again so have fun. haha Chelsey you and Britt are hilarious. I'm here with my two aunts and my mom and we're having a blast just waiting around for tonight! We went to go out to dinner last night and there was like no restaraunts open! It's ridiculous haha My aunts are giving us so much crap because they are from the midwest and this amount of snow is like nothing compared to what they have. But I guess it is better to be safe!

Well I think today were just going to hang around and go shopping and then head on over to the venue!!!
