I left during MHWGO because I have to get up early and drive and didn't want to get caught in traffic. Celine was ON tonight and Raleigh loved her. Almost as good as Montreal for me!! (and Montreal is in my top five moments in my life ever ... This may be #6 LOL). Everyone in my section on the floor and the one to the left of me stood almost the whole time.

Hi Everyone,

Sorry we don't have reviews up yet. Chels & Britt had to get on the road to South Carolina 'cause Chels is back in school by 8am...ugh, but trust me ladies and gents...they have some good news for y'all and some video to prove it. :msn-wink:

Kimberly and I are done like dinner after getting some pics of another amazing night onto Facebook. Basically, I was offered the spot by the stage to be the first to greet Celine after the show and I brought Kimberly along with me...as it is she who made this trip possible for me. Thank you so very much, sweet Kimba.

Reviews to follow soon. Here are a few pics to peek your interest. There is a great HQ video, but that all still needs to be figured out.

Whew.. what a night... I just now got home to VA after the show ... haha As always, the show was amazing ... I was in 116, row C and got to see Celine as she entered and exited... when she left, I got a high-five and let's just say my eyes are still quite puffy from the experience. My heart is just so full now, I can't even explain.

I'll have to find a new hobby to entertain me while Celine is gone ... this is the worst feeling, now that it's over :(

Greetings Celiners! Time for the Raleigh review… I am writing this while Chelsey and I are on our 3 ½ hour ride home… and I still have to drive 3 more hours after that… bah, -yes, I am a lamb.. all for the love of Celine!!

Hmmm, where to begin? Let’s begin with us waiting outside for Celine and her entourage to arrive. After lunch at Cracklebarrel, Kim, Chelsey, Tracey and I went to the Arena to wait for Celine. We were so scared that we were going to be forced to leave so we waited in our car writing “Happy Birthday Rene Charles” on a big frog for what seemed like an eternity. When she finally arrived we jumped out and were waving like maniacs and smiling at the cars hoping for something to happen. Celine didn’t stop but she did wave through the window which was fantastic enough for me. I know that she appreciated the welcome team.

We went back to the hotel room to freshen up and then Chelsey and I left and went to Walmart. We had a grand plan to get stuff for… and that will be revealed later in the review [be prepared for something AMAZING!] After walmart we waited in an INSANE amount of traffic, Chelsey almost rammed into someone… good thing she drove with her hands on the wheel this time J and finally we made it to the arena. We went inside and sat down in our seats which were in Section 7 Floor seats ROW SIX!! We were smack dab in the center thanks to the upgrade that we got when we got up at 10 a.m to get to the box office early. The people sitting around us were not all old fogies like we had feared; they were huge fans that were ready to have a blast, always a good thing! One of the highlights of the show was that we were right in front of Barnev. He spotted us during IDAN and we kept pointing at him and smiling. He could barely contain himself and kept on smiling, laughing, and waving to us, it was so cute! Celine came out saying “We finally made it! We can’t control Mother Nature… I am so glad we are all here, and safe!” The fans were immaculate tonight… I didn’t think that anything could top the Atlanta crowd but these people were diehard, come snow or shine fans, and you could tell the difference. Everyone was pumped, on their feet… singing, clapping… etc. We told just about everyone in a five mile radius about the forum – and recruited them over to the Celine-ish side, muah ha ha ha! Hooray for more members J We were the first to stand up in our section and every time we did, everyone else followed suite. Celine spent a lot of time on our side and really had no choice but to notice Chesley and I jumping and screaming – since sometimes we were the only ones standing up. She most definitely pointed and winked at us during one song!! I take that as a thank you and maybe an “omg, you girls are crazy”

Celine started her My Love intro and when she said “It’s called….” Chels and I stood up and screamed “MY LOVE!!!” before she got a word out. Everyone laughed and she said “We you guys at yesterday’s [ATL] show??]. [Chelsey and Kim had yelled it out in ATL too and got a great reaction there – glad she remembered!] “Yes, it’s called, My Love.” Now for the incredible highlight of the night for us. With one single- stem orange rose in each of our hands, We found our way to the front of the stage where Celine sits at the end of My Love. She sat there with her eyes closed singing, finished the song full of emotion and beauty. A security guard had an idea of what we were about to do so he came over to try and stop us but Chelsey ducked under the rope like she owned that stage and finally Celine looked up and motioned us through. Ecstatic we rushed to the stage. We held up our flowers but instead of taking them right away, she hugged us first. She looked at me with the sweetness heart melting “I know who you are” look and I gave her a kiss of the cheek, hugged her, and said “I love you Celine.” Then she turned to hug Chelsey and all Chelsey could get out is “ah, I’m too short,” but that didn’t stop Celine from bending down lower to give her a hug too. Then she took our flowers and said “Thank you SO MUCH!” into her mic for all to hear. Because we took the chance [ha ha, Taking Chances.. get it? Get it?] believed in the power of Celine, and left our inhinitions in our Section 7 Row 6 seats, we got the best gift we could have asked for! Another older woman came to the stage after we did and was able to give Celine a hug too. She walked away crying and Celine said “Ooo don’t cry. Don’t get me started! I am a talker and a cryer too.” Then she took our flowers, handed them to Mego and said [and this is so busted #ss backwards…] “Don’t forget to put water in them!” ha ha ha. The remainder of the show was amazing, naturally. I enjoyed this show so so much. LOVED it.

When we were walking around the merchandise tables, a guy came up to Chelsey and said “You know it’s not safe to drive without your hands on the wheel…” He had watched the video on the forum of us singing IDAN in the car and recognized her, ha ha. It was fun to see how much the forum has an impact.

All in all, it was an incredible trip and a success for Celine fans far and wide. Incredible and amazing pictures and videos to come!!! Hope everyone is well J Have fun at your shows… can’t wait to hear about them!

Xx Britt and Chels

You are welcome!

Last night was awesome...despite the fact I got in the bed at 2 am, and have to go teach 20 kids on 4 hours sleep.

From row was great...my friend sitting with me was surprised when I threw my arm up at her, and she pointed hers back smiling and winking during IDAN. Got some awesome pictures, will post later. On my way to get ready for work now.

Oh and yeah we waited out for her as well to come in. Was a really cool feeling to see her waving from inside the big black suburban!

All of the promises broken..

And all of the songs left unsung...

Seem so far away as I make my way back to you.

You gave me faith and you gave me a world to believe in

Celine Dion performance wows fans

By Ruth Sheehan - Staff Writer

RALEIGH -- Nixia Fonner of Goldsboro had been planning for the Celine Dion concert since late 2007, when she bought her tickets -- at more than $170 a piece.

So Fonner, a native of Panama, wasn't going to let a few inches of snow get in her way.

An almost-capacity crowd turned out at the RBC Center for Dion's concert, postponed one day because of the snow. Young and old fans teetered over chunky snow and sheets of ice in the RBC parking lot.

But they were not disappointed. The Canadian born croon queen delivered a vintage performance: powerful pipes, dramatic outfits and melodramatic gestures.

It was Dion's first appearance in the Triangle in 12 years, and the pent-up demand was apparent every time she strode out the runways -- Titanic plankways? -- toward the cheering crowd.

Dion provided a lively mix of her old standards and the latest songs from her new album "Taking Chances." Dion said she was traveling with her 81-year-old mother and her 8-year-old son. She made no reference to her husband and long-time manager.

Fonner, who lives at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base with her husband and 12-year-old daughter, Ariel, was delighted with the performance. She bought tickets for the threesome long before the economy went sour, but she would have sprung for them no matter what, she said.

"I've been playing my Celine Dion CDs for months now," she said, indicating her efforts to indoctrinate 12-year-old Ariel.

According to promoters, most concert tickets go on sale a few months in advance, with five or six months being the max. Until Dion's concert, 14-month advance sales were unheard of.

"I hope you don't mind," said Fonner, addressing the people sitting around her in the pricey floor seats surrounding Dion's stage. "I don't plan on sitting."

And she did not.
