Does TeamCeline do anything special for their members when Celine has a show? I know when Josh Groban was in Atlanta onetime, a bunch of fans rented a room at the Fox theatre.

I'm hoping my best friend who I met through Celine will be able to go with me. We've known each other for 8 years and met for the first time in person last summer. He lives about 8000 miles from me.. Cross your fingers. I would love for him to go with me since we are both huge Celine fans..Just being able to go with him will mean the world to me.

 

I'm planning on flying to Atlanta. I hope plane tickets will go down, because they are really expensive now.

 

It would be cool to meet some of you at the concert.

Hey everyone!

 

My name is Elisa and I live in Georgia. I am a LONG TIME fan of Celine's and I will be at the show at Phillips Arena on Jan. 17, 2009. I have been reading about some of the things that the fans over in Europe have done for Celine, and I would LOVE for everyone going to the Atlanta show to come together and work together to plan something special for Celine. ..have ya'll seen the videos from Arras, all the ballons waving for Celine? Everyone appears to be all together, but why not try to have people with the same thing (glow sticks, etc.) and waving them from ALL over the arena?

I've noticed on videos how touched Celine always is when the audience sings back to her. Certainly it wouldn't be easy to do but what if a song was written especially for her was sang to her during the concert? A brief song showing how much her fans love her? (A concert given by fans for Celine ) You'd have to time it right, but who knows? (Is this idea too ridiculous? ) Or, think of something unique to Georgia (the Atlanta area) that stands out that will help her remember. I'm sure there's something people go away amazed about when they leave. I'm not from GA, but I have family there and i visit often. One of my favorite things is the cityscape, especially at night. Yeah I am all for singing something, but the timing has to be perfect.

 

I know we all were going to try to sing to Celine in Vegas during the last A New Day show on Dec. 15. It didn't work out too well, because we were so spread out. I dunno maybe we could do signs or banners, but I dunno if those are allowed.

I remember the "Let's Talk About Love" tour, Celine didn't even come to Atlanta then. Phillips Arena was just completed (or close to being completed) when the tour was going on. The reason I can remember is I went to see Celine in Nashville since she did not come to Atlanta. She did a show at Chastain Park right around the same time as the opening Olympic cermony in '96. Celine has not appeared in Atlanta since 1996.

 

Have any of you seen the small battery operated Christmas lights? A friend suggested to me that maybe we could make a cardboard heart, paint/color red and outline it with red lights or red/white lights, and hold them up at a specific time. Since we will be scattered all over the arena, she would see them. I would LOVE to be able to get into the arena ahead of time and hang up a HUGE banner that would read (for example) WELCOME BACK TO ATLANTA CELINE - YOU HAVE BEEN MISSED, that would be visible from the stage, something along those lines. I also like the idea of singing something to her, but since we will be scattered all around we would have to have A LOT of people alerted to know what we were going to sing and when so we would be loud enough for her to hear. We have six months and 1 day, I know we can figure something out.

Hey everyone!

 

I haven't been around for a few days, lots going on here.

 

Regarding glow sticks, I have searched several sites online. They offer them in bulk, and not to expensive either (depending on how many you buy) I was thinking of RED and WHITE glow sticks (what do you think?) It would be great to pass them out (with a note) and pick ONE particular song where we wave them for Celine. What song do you think? I am still waiting to hear back from Phillips Arena in regards to a banner (or banners) I will let you know when I know something.

I believe tickets are still on ticketmaster.com. If not, you can check the Ticketmaster Exchange on there as well..

He said it may take him awhile, but he would get back with me regarding my question on a banner for Celine. Today I spoke with the Manager of Customer Service, she called me in reply to an email I had sent. She told me that glow sticks would not be allowed to be brought in by individuals, but if they are purchased inside Phillips Arena, of course they are fine. Regarding a banner, she told me that they usually do not allows signs or banners unless it is part of the show. HOWEVER, she did tell me that since the show is a few months down the road, to call her back around early December and she would know more in regards to the specifics of the show.

 

That is the latest, wish I could give you more information, but I will "keep on keepin' on".

 

I am headed to Montreal this weekend to see Celine's show on the 25th!!!! I will update you when I return.

Hi Lisa.

I hope they'll give you more info in December. It would have been great if they could have let you put up a persoanlized banner for all Celine fans. I know they have their rules and we must obey them. I can't wait to hear what they'll say to you in December. Keep us updated!!!

Hey everyone!

 

Sorry for the delay, I have been so busy since getting back from Montreal.

 

The show on the 25th was AMAZING, and Celine was absolutlely WONDERFUL, TERRIFIC, AMAZING (again). You will NOT be disappointed when you see her. It was great to hear all the french songs in Montreal, and I know I will be hearing a different set list in Atlanta. It will be here before we know it!

 

One note about Montreal. I waited at the entrance before the show with several Celine fans, and was lucky enough to see Celine in her car come by on her way in to the sound check. She couldn't stop, but blew kisses and waved at everyone. That is the closet I have gotten to "almost" meeting Celine, but hopefully my dream of meeting her will come true...........ONE DAY!!

 

I will keep you all posted on what I hear back from Phillips Areana.......MORE than ever I want to do something special for Celine to welcome her BACK TO ATLANTA!!!!

Oh my gosh! i'm going to the atlanta show tooo! i'm going to the raliegh one with my boyfriend but since i waited so long to get tickets, i got a better seat by just getting one for the georgia show! now, my boyfriend is upset that I'm driving and going to be there alone!!! (ime driving all the way from Spartanburg SC - about 2 hours and 45 min.)
