I think Delta's too successful to be anyone's support act. She can headline her own tour. I thought she might be a special guest, but she's doing her own show at the Seymour Centre on Friday night. Maybe she could come to the Saturday show? But probably not.

Celine taking no chances on Gold Coast break.

 

SUPERSTAR songstress Celine Dion is reportedly splashing out on a lavish but discreet Gold Coast holiday, spending more than $11,000 on a dinner over Easter.

 

The French-Canadian, her family and 30-plus entourage flew into Australia last Thursday and are believed to be visiting the Coast for a short holiday before Ms Dion kicks off the Australian leg of her world Taking Chances tour in Brisbane tonight.

Sources say Ms Dion has settled into the Coast's holiday atmosphere, treating her family and entourage to the dinner at her hotel's restaurant for her mother's 81st birthday, including five bottles of Dom Perignon champagne at $350 a pop.

 

Her arrival was not as smooth, with entertainment insiders reporting the diva allegedly made waves on her arrival when she cancelled a booking at a luxury hotel and moved to another, complaining about her room and the service.

I know that she can't help it but its very very hard for fans who are travelling to see her and have lost that money. If this happens for the Sydney ones I am screwed.

If anyone was staying at the Aspley Motor Inn in Brisbane for tonights show be prepared to pay a fee for not staying tonight They were really rude, is anyone else having trouble re booking their accommodation from today to Monday??

I can imagine she had a reason, for whatever she complained about. We don't hear about her making a fuss very often.

Stressful...gosh. At least it's postponed and not cancelled. What happens though if she stays sick, will it be cancelled altogether or postponed for a few months later?

And of couse the biggest "finger crossing" goes to Céline to feel better very soon!!! I can imagine it was a big change from the aircondition in Korea and in Australia so she caught the cold... :(

Seeing that picture of her with the mask on was just horrible. I am leaving tomorrow morning to fly for Sydney so I hope nothing changes between now and then.

celine was just on the morning show at 9am, didnt have time to record it. A SONG BMG representative spoke about Taking Chances and the live DVD, before discussing Celine's cancelled show in brisbane last night. They also showed clips of taking chances video clip in the background.

Dion’s doctor says she has a minor throat infection and irritated sinuses. The way she sounds, I thought it must have been a permanent affliction.

 

Ever the Diva (it must be the day for it) Dion left hospital with her mouth and nose covered by a surgical mask. She really has to stop hanging out with Michael Jackson.

 

While everyone was kept at bay from the poorly princess, a pathetic statement was released.

 

“I’ve been looking forward to doing this show in Brisbane for so long”.

“I’m really sorry to disappoint my fans tonight.”
