Wow, sooo cute of Delta!!! I really hope they will do something together and you'll see them both on one stage!

 

And I also hope so very much that Delta will finally come to Europe and give some shows here! I know she's not that known here but I'm hying to go to her concert too, esp. after seeing the "Visualise" DVD!!!

CELINE Dion will today spend her 40th birthday recovering from a throat infection and getting her first Australian tour in 12 years back on track.

 

She will spend the day with her husband, Rene Angelil, and their son, Rene Charles.

 

The illness forced Dion to postpone two Sydney shows and a Melbourne date - her April 1 show at Rod Laver Arena has been moved to April 2.

I am sure she will be OK...as long as she rests on her days off...hopefully she is having a lovely birthday under the circumstances...Rene must be so busy and this will add to Celine's stress....

With Anthony Callea as the supporting act (who is best known in Australia for his version of "The Prayer") I would not be surprised if she had him on stage with her to sing it together. There have been many people disrupted by the concert delays (beyond Celine's control) so I hope she gives a bit extra when she finally does perform to give back to the fans who have been disrupted.

 

I was going to the Sydney show on Friday night (with a friend who had flown in especially to come to the show) and when it was cancelled we went out for dinner. We met people who had flown from Adelaide and NZ to see the show and they said they could now not afford to come back next week for the postponed concerts. I feel sorry for them as they spent so much on travelling to Sydney to see the shows and will miss out....I was lucky enough to see the Vegas show and was even luckier to be able to meet Celine..she really is as nice in person as you would expect.

 

Hopefully she will be well enough to perform in Brisbane tonight and the rest of the tour will go off without a hitch.

I am thinking Anthony and Celine will sing the Prayer....and I think they will do this instead of 'I'm your Angel'...

 

I wonder if Anthony will say something if he sings the Prayer alone in the support section about Celine....becasue if it wasn;t for Celine...and that song...we can ask the question would Anthony be as big as he is now.....I think it has alot to do with that duet.............................

First of all,I hope Celine has had a really good day and that she has had a fully recover...and I feel sorry for the fans that haven't been able to see her in concert in Sidney...

I don't know that Australian singer but I guess it's very possible she can do the same thing she did with Yuna in Japan - sing one song together with him on stage during her own concert and if he's famous for his randition of "The Prayer", it wouldn't be much of surprise if they would sing this one together. If they only had a bit time to rehealse despite Céline sickness...

EVERY time a major star arrives early in Australia for a concert tour or promotional visit the media plays its version of 'Where's Wally?'

 

The last one caught up in the 'they seek her here, they seek her there' game was songbird Celine Dion who, as we now know, was tracked down to the Marriott Hotel where she, hubby-dearest Rene and their child Rene-Charles were holed up in the penthouse while Celine battled the effects of clogged sinuses and a bad throat.

 

What hasn't been revealed is that Celine and entourage booked themselves into the Palazzo Versace but stayed for only one night.

 

The reason for their swift departure had nothing to do with the standard of service or luxury fittings.

 

It was more to do with the number of children, courtesy of the school holidays, romping around the pool while Celine was feeling poorly.

 

With the diva feeling so unwell and the luxury hotel being only three stories high, it became impossible for Celine to rest undisturbed and so it was decided to move, like her soaring vocals, to a higher place (i.e. the Marriott penthouse).

 

Can you imagine the headlines if Rene had stuck his head out the window at Versace and screamed: "Can youse kids keep the noise down out there or I'll come down and belt yas!"

Captain Cook Cruises luxurious Catamaran, the Sydney Crystal, recently hosted Celine Dion and 25 of her family and friends for an afternoon of fun on Sydney Harbour.

 

Not even half way through her world tour, Celine and her party, including her husband René Angelil, son Rene Charles and Celine’s mother spent the afternoon relaxing, eating and taking in the beautiful sights of Sydney.

 

Dining on a delicious buffet featuring Hommus, Tabouli, Babaganouch, Baclava, whole baked snapper, smoked salmon, leg of lamb, 10 different salads, backlava, Turkish delight and tea and coffee, Celine enjoyed lunch so much she got her personal chef, who travelled with the group, to ask the Sydney Crystal chefs for a few recipes to take home.

 

Another love of Celine’s was Sydney Harbour and she even requested Captain Cook Cruises renowned live on-board commentary to be on the Sydney Crystal so she could learn more about Sydney and its famous sights.

 

The group also made the most of the Sydney Crystal’s impressive features including a covered outdoor deck and spa pool, a main deck saloon with a sophisticated lounge area and formal dining area, a bar, a spacious outdoor leisure deck and a VCR and stereo.

 

The Sydney Crystal is available daily for functions and charters.
