We lost Tracy after LCMM, (we know what she was up to , good luck). The concert was AMAZING, although was nursing a cold. Same setlist, but she left out TSMGO & WWRY. Nobody seemed to miss it. The crowd was on FIRE!!!!! Celine entered on one side and exited on the other. Ramona held her hand and got a thank you. No kisses for anyone as Celine has a cold. A funny story too tell. The ladies brought red roses and gave Gordy two roses and saved the other two for Celine. Ramona coached her to throw it to her during BYLM and it hit her leg. Everyone laughed. Celine stopped and said "I have never benn hot by a rose" or something like that. It was soooo hilarious. The second rose was thrown to her by the daughter during PQTME. Again, Celine picked it up and said "Merce" She held on to the rose the entier song and placed on Mego's piano which we saw during "My Love". The three of us were lucky enough to see her pull into the venue. We waited in the freezing cold weather for her. She rolled down the window and took pictures with Ramona and Tracy (I was the photographer). Celine kept asking me if I got the picture. she was soooo cute as usual. Rene was with her in the car. Sorry I cannot post pictures tonight, this computer at our hotel is ancient. I will post some picitures when I get home on Thursday. We will post again after tomorrow's show. Enjoy the review. Thanks to my two good luck charms (Ramona & Christine) and my father who was with me in spirit 100% I finally met Celine today, and tonight!! Not once, but twice. Thank the stars I've been blessed ten fold!! So, my first meeting was at the SUV window with Ramona & Christine before the show and the 2nd meeting was at the hotel with two new friends (Patty & another Tracy, both from Winnipeg). Celine was not feeling well so we only got to greet her at the SUV window again at the hotel, but she was so gracious and kind as usual. The computer here at the hotel is wonky, so you'll have to wait for the full version of my amazing Celine adventure until I get back to Calgary. I have to go to work when I get back tomorrow, but I'll try to put more stuff up on Thursday morning. Love yous all very much. Thanks for all the cheerleading and good wishes. NOW, who's next????? She's from Canada, so she will be a trouper and get through anything freezing weather brings. I'm so happy my show isn't any later in the year or I would not be able to be outside more than a few minutes. I feel bad for her because when you're sick you can't be at your best as you would be if youwere at 100%. Did Celine sound like she had a cold while singing? I hope it goes away in time for Thursday. If anything worse happens and she has to cancelI hope to god the show would get rescheduled. I'm nervous enough as is because I'm excited and want to meet her, and for a pic that wouldbe better than an autograph. I pray Celine gets better. I said to her while about to cry from the hug, "I love you so much!" Then that was it I don't think she said a word to me. I was crying and saying omg all night with my heart racing and my mind in SHOCK from the unexpected hug and my eyes so sore from crying. I was ready to drop when I got home, but was so emotional I stayed up until 6:30 a.m.! Cried a little for a few days after. Sign and front row seat saved the day!Dream #3 accomplished... And if you came here looking for one of those passive-aggressive write-ups -- the kind where we begrudgingly admit that Dion can sing, then crack a bunch of jokes at her expense so we can hang onto our credibility -- well, you might as well stop reading right now. Yes, Dion can sing. Nearly 20 years into her recording career (30 if you count the early days in Quebec), Celine's multi-octave soprano is an international treasure, and even if you're not exactly swayed by her sometimes schmaltzy arrangements, you can't deny the lady hits a mean high note. But there's much more to Celine than vocal runs and chest-thumping. She also puts on one helluva show, as she proved to a soldout crowd of 16,000 fans last night (and as she'll prove again tonight to another completely packed house). Is it over-the-top? Of course it is: It's inspired by Cirque du Soleil, of all things, plus she just spent the last five years working out the kinks at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. And the levels were through the roof from the start of the very first number, a dance-rock cover of the Roy Orbison classic I Drove All Night, which found Dion strutting onstage in a lavender mini-dress and sky-high stilettos. The tune gave Dion plenty of opportunity to showcase her onstage idiosyncrasies -- the winking, the snarling, the perpetual look of surprise at the end of a song or sustained bit of melisma -- plus there were at least three moments when she hit high notes so powerful you'd think an air raid siren had just gone off. And she followed up with The Power of Love -- one of her biggest hits of all time, and another perfect showcase for that decibel-busting voice of hers. But just when we started to worry that Dion might be overdoing it on the diva stuff, she paused to address the crowd in a manner that was 100% down-to-earth -- explaining how she'd brought both her seven-year-old son and her 81-year-old mother on tour with her, and laughing it off when an overexuberant fan pelted her with a rose. Interlude over, she and her 10-piece band got back to the good stuff, knocking out dynamite versions of Taking Chances and the Jim Steinman-penned mini-epic It's All Coming Back to Me Now. And those who accuse Dion of being subtlety-deficient would have been silenced by the quieter passages of ballads Because You Loved Me and To Love You More -- the latter benefitting from that extra second she waits before launching back into the chorus. Naturally, there were costume changes. First, Dion disappeared beneath the stage while a troupe of dancers worked out a slinky flamenco number, reappearing in a black-and-silver ensemble to sing Eyes On Me and Eric Carmen's All By Myself. And after that number -- which ended with Dion lying flat on her back -- she ducked back down again, resurfacing in a sparkly black pantsuit to soar through Shadow Of Love and the duet I'm Your Angel. As press time rolled around, Dion was wrapping her pipes around Heart's power-ballad Alone, another song thatseems tailor-made for her purposes. And as she again lifted her voice in hair-raising harmony with her backup singers, there could be no doubt she's possessed of an undeniable talent. You can joke all you like. Ramona received two phone calls this morning from CBC Radio Canada and CBC studios. They both requested interviews with her. The first interviewer gave us only a ten minute warning and met her at the hotel lobby. They did both a radio and video interview to be aired tonight at 6pm Winnipeg time. They also shot video at the MTS with Ramona walking towards the venue with Celine's video playing in the background. Ramona talked about the forum and the charity foundation in the interview. The next interview will be taking place at 3pm at the CBC studio. We will keep you posted . The interviewer from CBC Radio Canada is trying to contact Rene for a possible joint interview with Celine and Ramona. Hopefully they will agree to it if Celine is not too sick, keep your fingers crossed Quote "That which you manifest is before you"
