It's fabulous reading the reviews from last night, I was there too, and reading that other fans were there experiencing the same thing is great! I was blown away by the show last night and how beautiful Celine was!

 

It was my first time seeing Celine in the UK, I'm not sure how she has been in previous tours, as I had only seen her in Las Vegas before Last night (twice). I felt the show had soooo much more energy! It was like she had been let out of a cage! She did look sexy and I am sure she felt sexy too! The way she moved and performed was so elegant and seductive. I thought she was a little thinner when I saw her in Vegas, but she looked a little more "filled out" to me, and in great shape, healthy and happy, it was great to see!

 

 

 

After seeing photos of previous concerts from this tour I was soo excited to see the new costumes! I loved the pink dress, it's a fabulous colour, very sexy and playful! I prefer the silver print top to the print jumper she wore previously, much less garish and more stylish. The Cape that she wore with it when she first came back out on stage was very dramatic, especially when it was being blown by the huge fans off stage. Although when her dancer walked up to her to remove it and dance with it, he did seem to struggle a little bit! I wasn't that keen on the white frilly top and pants, the pants didn't really compliment Celine's slender figure and the off the shoulder top kept slipping and Celine had to adjust it many times. When she came to sit on the piano to sing My love it had come untucked from the pants and she had to fiddle with it again before she could sit down. I don't think it will last long in this show!

 

The little white dresses are lovely, the sequin dress for River Deep is stunning, and the other dress is kind of baby doll style and has a certain girly sexiness about it, I would love a dress like that (I wouldn't mind her figure to go with it too!) I thught the purple ball gown for MHWGO was stunning and silhouetted her figure perfectly. It was dark and beautiful against all the twinkling lights surounding her (I can't believe no-one has yet mentioned the beautiful lighting effects for this final song of the night - absolutley breath-taking!)

 

 

 

Her voice was on top form, as has been said by many others. I think she has got her "power" back! Her vocals seemed powerful and effortless, songs that she has sometimes struggled with before (Taking chances for example) were glided through easily and sounded amazing! The key for taking chances had been dropped and it worked much better! I was concerned that she had reinstated All by myself into her tour, as sometimes in Vegas and other performances of late she has seemed to struggle vocally, but this song last night was totally perfect! I could tell the audience were totally blown away!

 

I would have liked to have seen more people on their feet, but I noticed that much of the audience were (how to put this politely) somewhat older! I don't think they were there to boogie! (I think they left their boogieing days back in the 40's! lol) I found the audience at Vegas to be generally a little younger. So I felt a bit bad for Celine in that respect, especially when at the start of LCMM she invited the audience to dance, only small pockets of the arena got up on their feet. (I didn't as no-one else in my block got up and I would have obstructed their view - I'm hoping to make up for that in Birmingham next Saturday!)

 

 

I am glad I didn't sit on the ground, I was in the lower tier at one end of the arena so could see from one side of the stage to the other, and I'm glad that I got the full benefit of the lighting and dancing. The cages that lowered to the stage were a nice effect and allowed them to project videos onto them and create a great show. As they were transparent they were lowered around Celine when she sang Alone. They projected falling leaves, rain and snow onto them and it looked stunning.

 

At first I was a little startled by the conveyer walkways! I really wasn't expecting it when Celine stood still and started moving sideways across the stage! lol! But they worked amazingly well when used for dance routines later, very original! The dancers were amazing, I prefer Celine having just a few dancers around her, as it is a little less distracting from Celine, and you don't have to stress over what to focus your attention on! lol! I would imagine she would now feel lost without her dancers, I really can't imagine her without them now.

 

 

The glitches were very few and didn't spoil the show at all, did anyone else notice that during I'm You're Angel, instead of singing "and when it feels as if your end is drawing near" Celine actually sang "and when it feels as if your arms are drawing near" lol! Oops! Also I think Celine was so into singing Shadow of love she didn't realise it was nearing the end, she started to do some improvisation and then suddenly had to stop as the song had finished! It was cute though!

 

What a great night! I'm so looking forward to next saturday. I also want to thank the people who took photos and videos and uploaded them for us! We did take some photos too, not nearly as good as the ones shown so far, but they show a different persective and I will try and get them uploaded as soon as I can. Goodness, I have gone on forever! Sorry for the long post!

That pink/pruple back pack dress looks better than the black version since the absense of the net fabric makes it look less like a back pack.

 

That white thing a la 80ies, pants, shirt with curtain, I don't know what to think about that, somethimes it feels ok, sometimes it's dreadful.

 

Superduperglad Think Twice and Fade Away are back! The best tracks in the setlist. However I am quite pissed that there are o be a limited number of good songs in the set list - now that TT and FA is back in That's Just The Woman In Me is out?! While booring unnessesary tracks like I'm Your Angel, We Will Rock You and Barney's miniconcert still stays in...

 

The MHWGO performance looks so much better now. Superb. If it were live it would be a something... really something.

To be honest with you, I think EVERYTHING is overpriced, including the concert tickets themselves. I am starting to find it a little frustrating. I think Celine's people are taking advantage of the loyalty of her fans. Other big named artists are selling tickets and merchandise for far less.

 

But having said that, the images in the programme are stunning, so you won't want to miss out. It is also quite original in it's design as it looks like a nice quality gift bag.

I don't disagree about ticket pricing in general, but unfortunately the market has shifted to where artists make most of their money on tour vs. album sales. Relatively speaking, Celine's concerts are actually much more reasonably priced than certain other artists. She also sings more songs, and at least she is performing at the O2 which is much more intimate than say a place like Wembley...at least you will be able to SEE her, not just on the screen...so I am happy to give her her due. For all she has given over the years, she deserves it.

 

Programme and other souvenir pricing are a different matter.

the support act was well not very good you couldnt tell what words he was singing half the time but he was only on for about 20 mins so that was ok

1. She doesnt tour every year

 

2. Best singer in the world

 

3. Last in Manchester 1996

 

4. Doubt she will tour again for years

SHOW WAS FANTASTIC!

 

I must say she is ooozing with confidence after Vegas. Having seen Celine on all the tours since Falling Into You - she is now like a Goddess on the stage.

 

The floor seats are AMAZING! because they are SOOO close to the stage although I am also (As someone else said) looking forward to London where I have a lower tier seat to see the full stage. When the band are moving up and down I didn't see her for some portions of the show. Like in My Love. The big screens were too high up and the small screens were blocked by these awful children in front (lol)

 

Anyway show was amazing! I thought the sound wasn't great a big echoey - there was better sound on all her last shows. I am not sure if that was an MEN thing or the fact that I was sitting under the speakers and maybe further back is better. I reckon you always get the best sound in an end-stage set up anyway cos its louder. (I will see that in Nice).

 

The catwalks were amazing they went right to the very edge of the arena which meant people in parts of the lower tier had front row seats as well - they were probably the best seats to get the full visual effect.

 

Some people have asked so I reckon for lipped songs

 

IDAN, TPOL (except first verse), IACBTMN, TLYM - high note in ABM looked lipped to me and I wasn't sure if maybe part of TC was but the rest looked fully live to me. I couldn't see the screen for MHWGO but I was divided on that one.

 

Amazing to hear Fade Away there - wish it had been a single because the crowd would have gotten more into it. Shadow of Love doesn't work live I reckon that should be replaced with Surprise Surprise which is more stage feel to it.

 

Kinda surprised about ANDHC not being there or B&TB but the full show was a crowd pleaser. She was going more for a show this time that just playing her hits so she needed to use the dancers and do more upbeat numbers.

 

I think outfits were all stunning - she has the most FABULOUS shoes known to man. She looks stunning fashion victim outfit clings more shows off her incredible figure (starting to wonder if I am really gay - lol)

 

Cant wait for London on Tuesday I have a tier seat.

One of the stewards told a couple in front of me that they were allowed to take pictures but were not allowed to record video of the show - Céline sang all the songs perfectly, I wish I could go back in time as I didn't want it to ever end
