Celine's titties hardly reach under her armpits Sebbia, so I think I'll be able to distinguish Celine...I can't decide if she should show leg- not really a wee dress kind fof song.

That's for sure, but she won't be wearing any old fashioned gowns only some fallen divas are wearing now. :mdr: We're taking chances now!

She looks freakin' gorgeous!!!! :wub: :wub: :wub: I need to break into her house and steal some of her jewerly! :wub: Celine seemed to be a little high on the show (from so much love, of course).

Again... with the hair.... People (and Ellen, as much a I like her) should really get a life. It's just HAIR people! Give it a rest already! :wacko: So, did I get this right? At that link with the live web camera from Ellen's studio, one could have seen all this? The recording? How did I not know this :cry: Thanks for the caps!

Thanks for the review and pictures! She looks great but WHY OH WHY did she sing BYLM? When you have such airtime, why sing an old song? Couldn't they have chosen another song from the new album...? Most artists would have done that I think... :hmm:

I was at the taping! Here's a review...

A friend at Ellen was able to get a couple of tickets. Ramona flew down last night and we went to the taping today - They taped almost a full show (that will air tomorrow) and then Ellen changed clothes and announced the "big surprise" - a post tape with Celine

They did the interview first...oh boy...Celine began by saying she's really nervous and even though she's been doing the showbusiness thing for 25 years, it feels like the first time for her. Because this album is edgy and risky and she's been in her bubble for the last 5 years. Then Ellen pointed at Celine's VERY BIG ring and made a comment about it - Celine was really cute, holding the ring up to her face and singing "She works hard for the money" She then went into a LENGTHY story about Gwen Stafani and how it's her fault that she has a ring like that...and she wonders if Gwen lives w/ a hairdresser b/c she always has her hair done and her makeup on and she went on and on about the hair - somehow she managed to get back on subject as to how the ring relates to Gwen...that she saw Gwen and she had a ring like that, so she got one?!?! It was a Cartier ring & they made sure to mention the name I love Celine, but she wasnt making any sense! Then she held the ring up to her face and made a comment like "Keep an eye on me now" - Ellen was just staring at her like...ummm....what is she talking about?!?!? Then, Ellen took out a magazine w/ a pic of Celine, Rene Charles, and Rene - and asked Celine why she hasn't cut her son's hair. Celine looked a little peeved that Ellen asked that and told another lengthy story about her oldest brother having long hair and her father, who thought that kids w/ long hair would get into trouble...came home from work and cut his hair - and then Ellen jokingly said "cause hair is trouble!" and Celine continued on about how her mom told her father that was not going to cut anyone elses hair. She also talked about the Beatles and at that time it was cool to have long hair. She talked about how she has asked Rene Charles a million times if he wanted mommy to "open up his eyes" but he says no...so she let him make the decision. She said that either way, people are going ot comment on what she does, so it doesn't matter. She then made a cute joke about the picture and how they tried to get Rene Charles to lean in closer to Rene so Rene could have hair Ellen cracked a joke after that, saying "Oh yes, Rene likes to keep his hair really short"

OH, I almost forgot!! When Celine was talking about Gwen Stefani and her hair, she said "She doesn't have a root" (meaning "roots") And Ellen kind of just stared at her and commented. "Oh, she doesn't have a root" ...Poor Celine, her English wasn't making any sense and she and Ellen didnt have any chemistry today!!!

They only did that one interview segment, and two performance segments - She first sang Taking Chances. She sang live, to a track. I think the energy would have been different if she would have brought a band...the audience wasn't really into the song. But Ramona and I were dancing and singing along :) I LOVED hearing Celine sing TC live - and she sang the whole song!! After TC, she sang "because you loved me" - not the full song, but longer than she sings in A New Day. The background was a big moon w/ lights like stars and Celine looked GORGEOUS!!

It was a wonderful experience and it will be interesting to see how much of the interview they cut! Ramona and I were the only two in the audience really excited to see Celine. We had great seats, and I think the camera even caught us singing along to BYLM, so watch for us in November!

im soooooo looking forward to the x factor this week.......hearing and watching her sing tc for the first time.....iv not even heard it on the radio yet.

i keep telling people not to forget to watch on saturday coz celine will be singing.........and they look at me stupid......lol

they will all be in for a big surprize.........he he he he

I just wish they would commit. They did this album now go with it and let go of the past. If they don't commit to it 100%, it will not work. Is this the new Celine or not? The old repertoire does not fit with the new!!! They need to present more of the new songs. I understand that they do not want to alienate the adult contemporary base but in order for this make-over to really work, she needs to move on. COMMIT darnit! Exactly. One more time, I can't understand... Well, sing BYLM for Oprah it's quite logic, why not.. But otherwise, she should only introduce this new album, how she tried different things : A song with Ne yo and Terius, some blues with Woman in me etc... :doh: Too bad, I'm very disapointed... I thought about a totally new look like she said, an interview about all those new things : end of a new day, New album with some different stuff, World tour... It seems so bad when you read the review : The hair of René Charles, the bad jokes of Ellen.... Come on ! She has to introduce this album properly !

Yeah ditto I totally agree. I think juxtaposing the two Celines only brings out feelings in the average non-fan that she's doing something 'odd' and out of character rather than just being faced full on out with her new sound.

It begins very badly... I said that the most important thing will be to introduce this album the best way possible : talk about this new sound, why she wanted to sing blues, why she experiments a song with Ne yo, But how she stays herself... ! Sing not only taking chances but other songs which could not be a material single, this is the opportunity to show the different aspects of the album like with Right next, New Dawn, or Woman in me for the blues/acoustic/folk part. !

The problem with Celine actually, is that she wants to do everything, by being in all the hotest shows, while she doesn't have the time to train herself...That's why for example when she comes in France...She has to read the lyrics on a TV in front of her, without any emotions and even sometimes with mistakes...... And Where are her musicians ?????????? It's an important factor to create a good athmosphere and something different !

we dont know why she chose to sing BYLM so we can only guess at this point. i think it was probably because she is a bit afraid of how people will react to this new album. so she'll do her new song to attract new fans but then sing an old standard to satisfy who she/they think is her core base. because all this time she's been saying 'its a new celine but its still the same me'. but like joey said, if she and her entire team are going to push this new celine, then push the new celine and dont bring out the old one. she has enough time during her tour to sing her older material.

and i wish she wouldnt have done BYLM. if she wanted to do a ballad she could have done World to Believe In or something from the new album. maybe she didnt have time to rehearse because she wasnt feeling well. although id imagine with all these tv appearances coming up, she'll do more then just 1 song from the new album.

I think we should all write Rene and ask him to hire us as her marketing and strategy team! I'm sure we can do a hell of much better job than the team they're working with now, just by applying a little common sense! I'm sure we could make Celine take up that guitar (a real one) and play it on stage and a piano too and she'd start recording those songs she keeps writing, because we could make her do it, we're just so good! And I'm not kidding! All Celine needs is someone to tell her that she can do whatever the hell she wants, because she's the biggest artist out there, so she can aford it. Yes, but she thinks he tells her that because he's so inlove with her :wub: She said it in an interview that Rene thinks she's a great cook, because she knows how to make two dishes, but that doesn't make you a great cook. She needs somebody from the outsite to tell her how good she is. I mean, who knows, maybe she's right and Rene's hearing is blinded by his love for her, and she's not actually that good... But what I've heard sounded pretty good, and she's been playing piano since she's a little kid, it's impossible not to be good enough to play on stage. Oh, well, Rene still should hire us for marketing and strategy. He's always said he wants people working for them to love Celine and be committed. Sony sure isn't any of that and we love her and are committed to her forever :wub:

Ellen's just bitter about her stupidity on the dog incident.

I remember when Barbra Streisand was on her show, they had NO chemistry. Well, Celine said she was nervous, so it's no wonder some of her english didn't make sense. I'm in the same situation when I speak French.

You're right but we all know those reasons....

Now it's time for something different..It's too important and this album seems interesting enough to waste everything with a bad promo. What I don't understand is... Doesn't she has any marketing or promo adviser ?

She needs to go about it like she did INCOGNITO---ready to take storm again and change her image. She needs to make her shows more edgy. Get rid of Because You Loved Me.

She can't say "Let's all fly with Stewart Little" at Wango Tango.

Too bad that Ellen wasn`t connecting with Celine...they were so funny together for the Miracle promo. :confused: I love Celine`s outfit too! She has great style :wub:

Hopefully they'll only have time to show TC- no no no more BYLM or anything from the Vegas repertoire- why isn't she showing two songs from the album? It'd make perfect sense- a perfect promotional opportunity. This has peeved me off quite irrationally. I JUST DON'T WANT IT TO GO WRONG!!! :blowup:

Celine's team didnt choose for her to sing BYLM - the Ellen show did. and I agree, bad song choice - this song is over 10 years old!!! Since no one really knows TC, the Ellen staff probably chose a big hit that people would remember...at least it wasn't My Heart Will Go On!
