Not what I was expectiong and although it was a cool looking video it really has nothing to do with the song (unless I''m missing something) I liked the idea though and the end when Celine asks "whats' next?" seemed to open up a whle new era. Did anyone else think it was Bette Midler sneaking into Ceasers at the beginning? I think that Céline supposely has 2 identities: the singer and the spy... so, what superstar Céline is trying to do is have freedom, so she turns into spy Céline so she can have that, and that's how she gets inside the building superstar Céline is in... you know, she's "taking chances" and being a whole new céline... it actually fits a little bit more with the concept of the song ("taking chances") than the spy stealing céline's identity theory... And I think the helicopter is a spoof with regards to early media reports that Celine would fly to the Colosseum via helicopter every night to perform her show! Quote

In regards to the helicopter...the tail number was shown on the video (N7535G) I was curious and looked it up in the FAA database. Its a 2006 model helicopter registered to BEST RENT FINDERS LLC in Las Vegas, so apparently it was rented (of course). I found it funny that it wasn't registered for use by them until 08/15/2007 which was not too long before the video was shot. Useless knowledge that I found interesting. Does it ever happen to you that you might like a song a lot, but then you see the video, and it's awful and you start disliking the song? A personal example is Gwen Stefani's "4 In The Morning." I liked the song but hated the video. I am a huge Celine fan, and at first I did not know what to think of "Taking Chances," but now I'm loving it more. Quote

What I really like about the video is that it isn't a concept you would expect from a typical Celine video. I've always loved Celine and whatever choices she makes in the future, I can't see a time where I won't completely adore this woman. Just like most of you, I pretty much lap up anything dealing with her that I can get my hands on; however, I'm not one of those fans who find it impossible to criticize her and be a true fan at the same time. In all honesty, the only music video that has made me say "WOW!" in reaction to the video storyline (because let's face it, I say "WOW!" just about every time I look at her because she's absolutely gorgeous) was "It's All Coming Back To me" and I've come to accept the fact that most of them are going to be corny and slightly under the radar compared to most other artists today. I'm okay with that, though, because the quality of her music and her voice makes up for that fact. She's always going to be Celine, even if she decides to change up her style a little. Why not respect the fact that she's actually "taking chances" with this? Quote

And it walks hand in hand with the song even though it doesn't litteraly show exactly what the lyrics say. It shouldn't be taken too serious, nor to lightly. It's fun. Enjoy. /fred We never said we disliked the video... at least I never did, I happen to just LOOOOOVE it (I think is her best so far..)... we just wanted to let out our interpretations of it, since there were some people who had trouble understanding the story-line, is it too bad to try and understand something? we never said that we wanted the video to literaly fit the lyrics, we just wanted to know what the connection was...
