Back from Vienna! O/T: That city just makes me wanna be lazy and hang around Museum Quartier all day, with a cold drink or lay on a boat on the Danube Great city for summer fun in Europe. Now, back to topic. Celine was great! She was in a great shape, she sang amazing, looked amazing I loved that speech about cakes, she was so funny! The missing octagonal screen in the middle took a lot from visual experience of the show itself, but it didn't matter cause Celine is what I was there to see and she was amazing. I like the new intro video, with all the footage from other countries, and I especially like the pose she strikes at the end of it I'm sorry I wasn't paying enough attention to Fade Away, I was struggling with my camera and it distracted me. I loved, loved, loved My Love. It's an amazing concert song. I just wish people were singing along to this song, after the a cappella section. I can see a whole stadium singing this song with her (this song should have been a massive single...) All By My Self is always mind blowing! I'm totally in love with This Is a Men's World! This and My Love are the high points of the show for me. I sang my heart out to Pour que tu m'aimes encore. She tried to get the audience to sing it with her, but there was no hope... Eyes On Me is so much fun, I love it. And Shadow Of Love too. I can't believe people sat down during this one, I was the only one standing during this song, until the very end when the other got up too, but it seemed they did it only because Celine came in front of us. River Deep Mountain High will always be a favourite of mine. She seemed to have problem with joggling with her mic stick and did a lot of booty shake and crazy leg moves, it was fuuuun! Finally the public seemed to be awake for LCMM, that was really nice, I've always said this is one her best concert songs.

After the show we hang around a bit and Michel passed us by, on his way inside the concert hall and I said Hello to him and he gave a big smile and said Hello back. But he was carrying something, he looked quite busy I didn't stop him for a photo or anything...

Too bad the audience was so... well, kinda lame. Like a bad night on a Vegas show. Most of the times I was the only one standing up in my section. My friend was in the front row, I was in the 4th. She told me the security guard kept telling them to sit down all the time, so at least the TC front row people have a good excuse. But the rest of the arena doesn't. No one told me to sit down, and I was in the forth row. Next to me there was this middle aged couple, and they were quite nice too, I think, they did stand up whenever I would get up too, and they were clapping really hard. Oh, not to mention no one seemed to sing along. What was up with that???? Anyway, I did, I had fun, that's all that matters. She tried to get the crowd going a few times, but I guess she noticed this is not her kind of audience and just sang her songs. Even at the end she ran off stage quite quickly, much quickly than she did in Paris, for example.

I will know better next time and only go to see her in cities where I know the audience will be rocking too, like Paris or Montreal and definitely Krakow, they must be the best audience on this tour so far.

I recorded a lot of the show, but the unthinkable happened. I lost one of the 1 GB cards I used. I don't know how the hell that happened, I never - and I mean never - lost anything in my life. And I'm particularly obssessed with taking care of anything that has anything to do with Celine or my photo cameras. It's the weirdest thing, I never lose anything, and now when it really mattered to me, I manage to lose it. Oh well, I gotta stop thinking about it, cause it makes me really mad at myself So now I only have the recordings up to Show Must Go On, but it's really quite bad video quality, I was clapping and stuff, it's shaking a lot. My first instinct of never bringing a camera into a concert, unless it's my DSLR camera, was good, I'm gonna stick with it from now on.... Thank you guys for all your photos/videos. Since I lost mine, I was counting on you. If anyone who was in the TC section can upload them somewhere when I can download and keep them forever I'd forever appreciate it.

I couldn't fight you on the playback issue with shows I hadn't been to, but I've been to this one and there was no playback with IDAN or anything. Mics do have problems from time to time, even if they're the best mics in the world. But I'm not gonna start with this again. I just find it dissapoing from the "fans" to keep insisting on this. Not even the worst tabloids ever said a word about playback on this tour, and they would be the first to do so, and the slightest sign of it. They would be the first to make this up and they didn't even do that. That's the last I'll say about this issue, it's not worth it. She sings live, she's amazing, you'd better believe it!

I'm sad this is was the last show I get to see from this tour. I wish I could have gone with my friend to Nice. Her train was delayed and she was trying to get into the Milan show, I hope she managed, can't wait to hear from her.

Next tour she does I'll go to Montreal for sure! Celine is her home town is really something I'd die to see.

THe show was crappy..I was In parkett WEst 6th row in the middle.. I also wa waiting for her outside -I'm the one in the black t-shirt - short girl with dark hair on that pic... when I realized she had problems with playbeck I said in PL o kurwa..which means "oh fu...k"ofcourse no one could noyiced that despite two polish ppl near me ( I'm glad we become friends during the show) I was already regreting the money for the ticket BUT.. after TPOL i was jumpin like crazy with my thumb up in my black t-shirt made specialy for Kraków.. AND Celine noticed me and gave me a SPEDCIAL thumb up in responce!!!!!!! so after POt que.. I sent her a kiss.....AND she GAVE IT BACK!!!!! I know that sounds crazy and you might think it wa a thumb and kiss to everyone but she did it right after me and centraly to me...it could not have been a mistake...I'm looikng for videos of her doing it after TPOL and Pur que.. but everyone had stoped filming just after her last line of a song...

guess those soundengineers/videopeople have not thought about the fact that windows xp is not that stable, they should have used the more reliable Macintosh computers! I saw a picture on one of these forumtopics ( don't know which concert anymore) anyway, you could see windows xp image on the big videowalls above the stage!

 

I have been to the Amsterdam concert and it was amazing. Whether IDON was live or not, it was so great seeing Celine in those flashlights and all those screaming people who loved to see Celine again after all these years.

Maybe she lips this track, and clearly she did, but she does it very good and moves so fantastic. so this not comes into your mind.

the power of love gave me goosebumps,. even if it were not completely live. So was all by myself, which was really amaaaazing - live again.

Taking Chances rocked the Arena and Alone was so super! It was even beter live then it was recorded on the cd. The whole queen medley was great too , also Fade Away. And when you listen to all the different bootlegs you notice that alone everytime is sung different , so is Fade Away - the high note was reached in Amsterdam for sure. So even if she did some lipped tracks (the same old stuff) all the new tracks were fresh and fantasticly sung live for sure!!!! And when I would have the chance again I would do this over again. But please more other songs! no more BYLM or IACBTMN. Or sing it live Celine!

 

About the youtube movie I can say, it is not that bad how Celine handles it but she could have done it so much better. But I must say , even with the backing track it looks amazing, every show I have seen it on youtube or other video's. So I hope the press won't make a big deal of it and I hope they won't read this forum too!! Anyway Celine is great and I love here amazing voice. Live she gives goosebumps all over. Cannot compare that with any cd or dvd I have from her!

I don't see anything wrong really with the whole IDAL playback issue. It was not her fault. Some technician obviously made a mistake. The whole point of having this first song lipped was so she could warm up (vocal chord warm-up, breathing control etc.), so just imagine the shock she must have gone through having to sing that first verse live!

 

Imagine standing on the stage, music blaring from all directions, things playing through your earpiece, the main speakers facing outwards away from you, and thousands of fans screaming. I'm not surprised it took her that long to realise that something was wrong as the only way she could have known was either from Michel talking to her through her earpiece or her actually not being able to hear her voice coming out of the speakers. In front of that many people, it's enough to make anyone terrified! She was obviously very nervous and shaken due to this and so couldn't hit the 'inside' note very well.

 

Think how she felt after that, can she actually trust the people working for her? In something as big as this the whole show could have been ruined just because of a technician, and she would ultimately face all the criticism for their mistake.

 

Despite singing it badly, I think she will definately be prepared if something like this was to happen again. It's not an easy thing for anyone to pull off in that sort of situation so I don't think anyone on this forum should be blaming her for it or making fun of her, as none of you could do any better if you were in her shoes.

 

At least it was only for 20-30 seconds and the rest of concert went OK
