I don't see the problem, I think Céline learned from loosing her voice during a concert around 1990 that she has to protect it.... if she can protect it by not singing demanding notes like the ones in IDAN or TPOL, then so bit it the only problem I have with the whole lipsyncing issue, is that MWHGO is totally lipsynced! you forget it, when u see the show, but it bothers me the 'last' song she's singing isn't live! Yes, this thread is about the Vienna concert but this incident happened in the Vienna concert so people are entitled to discuss it. Imagine if this incident happened on a much bigger event. What if it happened at the opening to the Olympics with the whole world watching? Celine struggling badly with her voice then suddenly boom the backing track finally kicks in. This was painful to watch and obvious what was going on. Lessons have to be learnt here. I totally agree that lipping on a TV show is ok but surely not in a live concert environment. I too totally enjoyed my concerts in London and Paris but things like this make you realise that enough surely is enough. Obviously she screwed up, but it sounded to me like she wasn't singing because she was expecting the playback to kick in. To say she can't sing that note is ridiculous, she sings almost the entire concert. She was caught off guard. I'm sure people were like "huh?" but then forgot all about it! Quote

I believe it's because we all take video recordings for memories and they end up getting analysed. If there was a total ban on cameras and recording equipment people would have thought it was a brief sound hitch and it would have been forgotten almost immediately. Seems that most people who actually attended the concert and have posted reviews on this forum didn't worry too much about her 'faux pas', it's others who have watched the video have been disappointed the most. Personally, after watching the video I cringed a little but if I had been in the audience I would have been so carried away with the atmosphere and excitement i probably wouldn't have noticed it too much. I'm sure that applied to most of the audience as well. I presume there would have been music critics in the audience.......has anything been reported in the papers?
