Just a quick little bit of info...One of Sony BMG's uk directors emailed me earlier today after I sent them an email a while back asking what they are doing regarding the promotion of celines new album/single in the uk, and how only one radio station here has got/plays the new single and could they not do better etc... Well she has informed me that sony uk have been working on quite a big promotional campaign for the new album for a few months, and its about to kick off shortly, so thats great news!!She is going to call me tomorrow to give me more info. on the campaign, the album ( she said shes loves the album btw ) and more info. on celines promotional tour here in the uk... The view doesn't get the same ratings since Rosie left and she and Rosie are buds. She really needs to get the song played on radio, so a radio "tour" wouldn't be a bad idea even if it is by phone. She'll def make Entertainment Tonight and Jay Leno. I'm sooo hoping she gets on Oprah - that would be huge!!! Quote ~J O E Y~

She is doing quite a few tv shows here, apart from the x factor and the baftas, which we already know about, but the exact info. of what shows and dates, could not be disclosed as the tv shows are imminently about to announce this information to the public.... ( That includes what date she will appear on the x factor ) Regarding radio stations playing the single, she confirmed that the single has been rolled out to stations through out the uk, and they can tell what stations have the single and who has played it, but whether they choose to play it or not is up to that station/dj, and apparently it has been played quite a few times on stations other than bbc radio 2. And she has confirmed Celine will be doing interviews for BBC Radio 2 when she is here...... I asked would there be a chance of Celine doing a single signing for uk fans at a music store in London like other big artists, but she said at the moment its not something they have planned, as Celine will be so busy promoting and she needs time off also while shes here, which is understandable! But I'm really hoping that theres a small chance this could happen... Apparently we will soon be seeing alot of promotion, including tv adverts promoting the single/album, which will be on tv for about get this.... 7 weeks!!!!!! How good is that?!?! Also on the weekend of 27th/28th October there will be articles/interviews in the Mail on Saturday and The Sunday Express Magazine. Ok one bit of exclusive news, Celine will make a guest appearance (performing Taking Chances and Alone from the forthcoming album) on a show called ''An Audience with Diva's'' which will be broadcast a week later on uk tv.Other artists scheduled to appear on the show include Mariah Carey, Girls Aloud, and Shirley Bassey.... but Celine is to be the ''Main Headliner''... how wicked is that!! And details regarding the uk leg of the world tour still have not been finalised.... My contact knows of this board, and will be in contact with me as she receives more info. So Stay Tuned!! Darren. I can't believe that ! They are doing the SAME mistake again and again. She has to show this new side, like on the e card when they say "You will discover a new celine" they should added the rock songs. Otherwise, no one will care about this album...And more, people will have the feeling to be deceived. I don't care if it's the choise of Celine or not, if this song is good or not...It is just a question of boldness, integrity, coherence and logic. Quote

It was a massive hit. If you decide to cover a very popular song, you should make it in a way that would make people forget about the orginal, like she did with All By My Self and Power of Love. With Alone, she didn't do that. It's not that crazy and different and good for people to forget about the original song, so it should not be a single. Not to mention it will give critics (even to those who usually give good reviews) a really good reason to pick on her. I can see it right now: the queen of covers, cover-girl Celine etc etc.... Really, enought it's enough. It's bad enough the first single is a cover, but at least very few people know the original. Quote
