First I would like to say that the clip of this song is awsome. You can not see it other way it`s CELINE!!! How can you people compare Celine with Britney/ Christina or whoelse other. They can wash Celine's legs. C`mon people Celine is on the stage for 25 years and it is not really important whether she`ll be on charts in bloody USA since what they claim as good is the "whory" behaviour of Britney/Christina etc etc. Celine is unique, a real woman, a real mother, a real wife and a singer. She SINGS!!! She does not say poems and breathe heavly and reveal her body to get her fans going crazy for her. I love everything she does irrespective what others say, cause I grew up with her and noone i mean NOONE can ever get to the level and stage she is. Now I heard the clip - after 30 sec. it isn't easy or possible to say something serious, but so far I loooooove.

 

Her voice isn't too sweet and not old-fashioned and not "like a knife in the back" - for me it's just great!!!

 

A little bit new but not too much. The name of this game is "commerce without a big risk".

 

But no problem, I will give them my money because I love it if the end of the song is so good like the small clip.

 

For me it's simply a new side of her voice and personality. I cannot wait to descover her new album.

Well I`m just trying to say that we all have to support Celine in a way we all can. Celine managed to get her way out with an attitude of a real singer. She got the voice, she sings. I`m tired of listening to those hits of some singers who can not manage to sing LIVE!. But anyway I just wanted to impress myself and give my own opinion and not trying to argue with anyone else. We are just discussing and thats what this forum is about, isn't it???

I feared the album may be indeed shallow or soulless or something of that kind but if you look at it from Bette's distance you'll see a clear picture of a woman who hasn't abandoned her route, her vintage route of presenting a concept. What I find a little irritating here is that some ppl demanding her to be as disciplined and as "Céline" as she was back in 1996 are blatantly overseeing the fact that now 10 years later she is trying to go the same route as in 1996 by sticking to her vintage concept and presenting an album with a track that she evidently BELIEVES in. And that is certainly more than enough I would expect at this point from a woman who has been ruling Las Vegas for the last 5 years! This deserves to be noticed and appreciated by her fans. She has a concept and she's sticking to it. Not the cover, but the singer, the voice, the conviction, the music - Taking Chances is representing it and she want it to be the first single. If she's behind it like she was behind "Falling Into You" in 1996 then we don't need to worry as both albums will be good on the level of honesty and genuine emotions put into them.

We compare on different levels and I compare TCH to FIY on their level of emotional delivery. It's not as simple. Of course I prefer D'eux, SISDA or D'Elles but as far as her English music goes we're getting good things lately and nothing soulless or UNCéline like some here assert.

I don't agree with this notion that if you're a fan of Celine then you have to blindly praise everything she says and does. This also applies to her music. Why should a fan just love everything she does just because they are a fan? I LOVE CELINE DION but there are some songs I simply cannot listen to and some times in her career when I thought she looked awful - Today Show 2003 to name one example.

 

HOWEVER I do not say she looks awful therefore I hate her, or this song is awful therefor she is a terrible singer. People AND fans are allowed to have opinions. Just because we love Celine does NOT mean we aren't allowed to pass comment on her work, positive or negative.

It is of course! But nonthelessbutstillofcourse it's got Céline's spirit and the magic that was its first single - Falling Into You. This song reminded me of the magic of her self-titled album. I find TCH so interesting cuzz she takes the same concept of an album (after 2 years pause) and tries to introduce a new Céline with more edgier sound. The similarities to FIY are striking at least to me.

Ok...you're right again...no way you not...i appreciate all you say...and i'm not praising her in everything,but i think that this moment is really important for her...i mean....she has done many things and she has made many successes till today,but this moment is important to keep her alive till the end...if you understand what i exactly want to say...maybe is not necessary important to make such a big success again,but maybe it is...
