Yeah, but then according to the review, they should also remove Eyes On Me cause it doesn't sound very rocky and if they do that I would myself. That's the song I wanna hear the most. I don't think they would remove anything cause of rockish concept, maybe Let me be your soldier got bad reviews on that preview listening so they removed it, although judging from that review it wasn't worst song there, if I remember well there were some ballads that were boring or something... but they are still there. Of course we don't for sure yet the official tracklist so it's all guessing.

I'm sure they will add some bonus tracks. So far however it might have been that Solder indeed got very poor reception. They had marks and they better use them good!

Don't be so sure! Since ANDHC there weren't any bonus tracks! Except CN on AND...LIL and JLD on Miracle in France... but those weren't new tracks...

 

I feel kinda bad that they removed orginal songs, but kept the covers

oke 'since' is a wrong word then I mean AFTER the release of ANDHC! And that is 5 years and 6 albums later... without a real bonus track à la JWA, YL, BTM!

What I wanted to add was also another important point regarding her voice: It's nowhere near her FIY robotic perfection as Shon said! FAR from it and I'm so glad it is like this. Her texture and emotional spectrum got bigger, significantly wider I must say and it's a pleasure to listen to how warm and happy she sounds on Taking Chances. I must also say I'm not alone with this - many Mariah and Whitney fans were absolutely wowed by Céline's vocal performance here saying she "hasn't lost her voice like the others". Which is very true and you can definitely hear that she gained much more than she has lost! Absolutely brilliant sounding Céline who I bet will be appreciated by many reviewers as soon as the whole CD hit the stores.

Fans of Dave Stewart are very impressed by Celine's rendition of the song "Taking Chances".

They said that, at first, they thought that Celine would change some of the arrangements of the track, but after listening, they got the positive vibe and say that the song is quite good, very great in fact.

Well, I believe that this is really great news to hear from Dave Stewart and Annie Lennox fans.

On the other hand, the special edition included 2 bonus songs (CWS and ABOY), but who else in this world have released 2 new songs that you can only listen in a DVD player and not in the CD, next with the rest of the album songs? Anyway that was a nice special edition, but they should have put the songs in a bonus CD.

You didn't understand me. I told that the daring thing is to release the whole new album with all the songs the same style of music, in this case ROCK. But an album that combines rock, RNB, pop, dance, ballad etc won't be that risky for Céline

Europe and other parts used to have these 'bonus' tracks. ABOY and CWS is a different story, that was a limited edition version.

It depends what you mean when you say "normal edition". European "normal editions" have all that songs included on the tracklist and it's not bonus track at the end. Superlove was 11th song on cd, Your light 14th etc. I never even knew that Your light wasn't included on American/Canadian version of Falling into you, I thought the whole world had same tracklist and it IS normal tracklist for Europe. I don't see why should American/Canadian releases be considered as basic editions that everyone else will follow.

And well I think that has to do with the fact that Céline is a canadian artist. so the canadian editions are the 'basic editions'! And if you look at TCOM after JWA it states 'bonus' track! And bonus track don't have to be the last song on a cd! Thank god, cos I can't imagine listening to Fly and after the end hearing HHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYYY

 

but people like I explained it, that's just the way it is

 

oh and also look at the FIY and LTAL page on Celinedion.com... then you'll see what I mean!

That's right, but then lets difference between "basic editions" that each country gets, and "bonus track" . Until now, any Céline album has mentioned the word "bonus track" in the backcover (except the AND...LIL album with the 2 studio tracks), so the album that every country has got of Céline was sold as is, as a basic edition, because there wasn't any other available for them and no one could know that there were different editions with other songs unless they had internet or were fans of Céline.

 

But if they don't include all the recorded songs in the original version, available for everyone, then I hope that they release in 2008 a special edition with bonus tracks, then the unreleased or "bonus tracks" deleted from the basic edition.

 

I mean I don't like the strategy of adding or removing songs depending of each region, that's not fair for the fans because obviously we will want all the tracks available in the same version, isn't it?

I'd rather have unreleased songs on a single then on another release of a normal album (that already will be released in 3 formats!!) The only time such a thing happened was with Cry Just a Little and Love You Blind... now that's 15 years ago! Sony always put the same old songs on singles... I want remixes and unreleased stuff! That makes collecting worth while!!
