A Chance To Preview The New English Album!

Please for all the hardcore fans of Dion Big Ballads....

I guess that this preview is to test the "new" sound of Céline, for her fans...Please show your emotions and your very positive feelings towards all the tracks that will sound rock, Jazz and R'nB ! Now that there is a buz around this new sound, she has to do it ! And not just some popish rn'B rock songs à la ANDHC.

I just think that all of you are lucky that you were selected to go to the preview. I hope you will all be open to any new style or sound. When "One Heart" came out, I wasn't sure about that one because it wasn't like your typical Celine sound. But the more I listened to it, the more I appreciated that she was trying to change things up. I just think that if you are a TRUE Celine fan, which I believe we all are :yes:

, you will like any type of music she puts out. She has been singing for over 20 years, she should be able to mix it up a bit.

I disagree. I believe we should appreciate the ATTEMPT for a new sound, a different directions, etc. But to say that a person can only be "a TRUE Celine fan" is by liking every song that Celine puts out is absurd. I loved the fact that Celine tried something different with "Treat Her Like A Lady," "Forget Me Not," etc., but I didn't care for these tracks. Yet, somehow, I believe with every beat of my heart that I am "a TRUE Celine fan." I believe by being critcal, but not rude and down-right mean, about the different songs of Celine's we are inturn being true. I do not believe Celine would want us to sugar coat our thoughts simply because we're her fans and are afraid of hurting her feelings. If anything I think if we did THAT would hurt her feelings because it would mean we don't have enough faith in her to be able to take critisism without taking it personally. She is a professional, after all.

That's just my two cents.

Celine's not GOD, for goodness sakes. This is not a religion. There are no guidelines for adhere to.

It's not a competition either for who gets to see Celine, or who gets to hear her songs first, or who gets to meet her. I just think it gets pretty cheesy when people are always using that hackneyed phrase "if you're a true fan..."

Being a quote-and-unquote "true fan," is it like an accolade in life? Is it like making a difference in this world? Is it saving the world?

Think about it.

Now, regarding Celine's music. I have a list of songs that I wish Celine would've thought twice about recording, because they are just horrible, even worse than Fergie's "Glamorous." :laugh: Take Celine's reggae-rapping-wannabe "Treat Her Like A Lady" and the I'm-bored-to-death "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" as examples... :laugh:

i like Treat Her Like a Lady. Its creative and not a bland track, but it could have been sung better live... those backup singers saying "what goes around comes around YO" makes me cringe everytime....

I Agree with you LOVE, I wish the first time ever i saw your face was never recorded...but Celine most really love that song b/c she put it in A new day... and has been singing it forever lol

The first few times long time ago that i heard "TREAT HER LIKE A LADY" i hated it so much, but i grew to like and love it because ya its not a typical CELINE song but if anyone can pull it off thats CELINE..now i like this song alot now

Anyway... certainly there will be songs we don't like (each one of us) People like different things - thanks God! lol

I like THLAL especially live but it's not a song I listen all the time. I don't like TFTEISYF either lol and I'm happy that this song is out of A New Day LOL heheheh so depressing! lol Nature boy - same thing. Much better A New Day Has Come heheheh

For me S'il Suffisait D'aimer is a terrible album! LOL And for many it's a masterpiece. I just like "on ne change pas" like no, I love it! hehehe Celine can't please everybody. For me, the most important thing is Celine recording what she likes, what she feels... 'cause I think the most special thing on her - as a singer - is that special way that she sings her songs - with so much passion, living each second of it... that's her real gift- to touch people with her songs.

I wasn't even thinking about the fact that it may hurt Celine's feelings, I know she must have "thick skin" by now. I just meant we should be open to anything she puts out. I agree that some songs are better than others, but I love all if her songs, just because I love the sound of her voice. I wasn't trying to offend any one :down: and I'm sorry if I did. :flowers:

She probably did think twice about recording Treat Her Like A Lady, AND still decided to record it! She even sang it at concerts. So, she that it was that good!

I think there's more emotion in The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face then half of her other English recordings. :yes:

those of you who are going tonight have a gr8 night, enjoy, remember how god dam lucky you are lol, and if possible, take a pen and note book/paper to write down info. lmao... incase you wanna note stuff or ncase u forget stuff, to pass on info. to us on the board.

I doubt they'll ban a pen a paper as the press will have these atleast if recorders and cell phones are banned
