Why not put 3 songs online and let tc-members choose the single???????

Because as we've seen before the songs would just get ripped from the Internet and spread around in Cyber Space without any profit going to the respectable parties. One prime example was when the video and song of "If I Can Dream" were posted here on CDF. I was pretty against this simply because the song and video were sold as charity downloads. By having the video and song on here it was a sure fire thing that people wouldn't bother to spend the dollar or two to help out a good cause. If the hundreds of people who downloaded this song and/or video would have done so the legal and moral way the charity would have made more money, thus helping feed and help protect Africans against many diseases. It would be no different here. The song file would eventually spread the non-crazed Celine fans. These fans would probably take the stance, "I have the song on iPod. What do I need to buy the album for?"

It really is amazing how just a few select people can ruin it for the rest of us.

Jospeh, I see your point but you used a terrible example as "If I Can Dream" was only available to fans in the USA via Itunes so again a minority of fans receiving the content just as will be happening at The Coloseum on Monday.

good point. Maybe TC should ask the fans by posting 3 little extracts.. just the chorus.. so we would be able to give a first opinion concerning the 1st single. I don't know, they won't do it anyway. -_-

Not to mention many US fans bought the video from iTunes anyway, even after they get the much better quality HD version from here. And the video was all over the internet on youtube... They could never stop things like that happen. And you may notice we respect TeamCeline and Celine's new songs very well. We never post TeamCeline content or Celine's new album. If there're only a few people left on earth still support Celine all the way and buy everything from her, it's us the most devoted fans here. They even dont need to worry about less sales. I know most of us here would buy her new album even if we downloaded it much earlier from somewhere else. What they should do is improving their service on TeamCeline and communicate more with her fans.

I totally agree with what you said. I find extremely cool that CelineDion.com comes here on board and listen what we have to say... I wish they listen to everything and not only what they want to. So here's what I think: Céline has a very big (and may I had great) worldwide fan base. And although I believe this events are great and should happen more often, I also believe that EVERY Céline fan has the right to know what is going on. I am a Team Celine member. I do pay for the membership. Why should I be left out of this just because I'm portuguese and don't have the money to travel to hear to the album preview? Is the Céline fan base only located at Vegas or Paris? WE are not.

We are aware that some members have been discussing ways of attempting to enter the album preview event with cameras, recorders or cell phones. Please note, that these discussions have been forwarded to the head of security at The Colosseum. Security will be taking extra precautions to ensure that guests comply with the no camera/recording device/cell phone policy. If you attempt to enter the event with these devices, you will be immediately rejected from the premises and your seat will be revoked.

Additionally, photo ID as well as employee ID and/or proof of TeamCeline membership will be verified at the door to ensure that guests attending are on the original RSVP list. Names will be cross-checked at the door and matched to the RSVP list provided by The Colosseum Box Office. If your name is not on the list, even if you have a ticket, you will NOT be admitted.

This is intended to be an exciting event for all guests and we want this to be a positive benefit for our members! However, if members abuse this opportunity, we may reconsider inviting TeamCeline members to events such as this in the future.

Hahaha - Big Brother is watching!!! All in all I think it's great they are doing this at all. So for the lucky ones that get to go - good for you all and enjoy it. It's really a once in lifetime thing that people would get to go to something like this as they hardly offer it and you have to be in the area where it's offered. It sounds like one of those things the movie studios do before a movie release where they do Q&As and get feedback from the audience. This kinda of thing can really influence the final outcome so everyone should be totally honest and don't hold back if you don't like something. I don't think they want to hear all sweet things but rather hear honest responses to what people are feeling.

Back in 2002 I was lucky enough to go to the CBS Morning Show taping when Celine previewed songs from A New Day Has Come and it was incredible. The cd was all finished at that point and she sang several songs that were later broadcast over 2 days on that show. I was able to meet her & say a few words to her and was lucky enough to get a hug and a kiss from her - she was sooooo nice to me. I cried, of course! :shy:

I wasn't meaning the words themselves were crap, because I actually agree with most of them, just using a generalization in reference to all the heated posts...one or two is fine, but do we want to turn this thread into 60 pages of everyone's dissatisfaction with Teamceline? Lets make another thread for it if that's the case!

And if you want to nitpick about having opinions, then theoretically if I thought the posts themselves were crap, it would be my opinion, and should be allowed to comment just the same.

And yes I'm feeling pressure! Is anyone else from here going? I just hope my random amnesia doesn't happen on Monday after the show!

i contacted sony bmg in london and they said that there will be no listening party for this album in the uk.

so i cant believe france will be getting a listening party for an english album when the uk aint....

I guess that this preview is to test the "new" sound of Céline, for her fans...Please show your emotions and your very positive feelings towards all the tracks that will sound rock, Jazz and R'nB ! Now that there is a buz around this new sound, she has to do it ! And not just some popish rn'B rock songs à la ANDHC. :angry2: :in_love:
