Even though R. Kelly is a POS, it still can't take away the fact of how brilliant "I'm your angel" is …. To me it remains on her most beautiful songs and her best duet. I don't support him but I can separate the art from the artist and all other things aside he was a brilliant ear for music. The man was talented, and the song deserved to go number one as it did.

 

I've wrestled with if I can even listen to the song anymore after that whole mess with Kelly but I've come to the conclusion that art is art. He was also the writer behind Whitney's final single "I Look To You" also a beautiful song that shined Whitney's talent even when her voice wasn't the same any longer. Imagine Whitney singing that song at her peak.

 

there's no defending him, but it's a shame that one of her only small handful of billboard #1s has a big shadow cast over it. now that you mention it, i had forgotten he wrote that whitney song...i don't think whitney fans have refrained from posting it, and maybe her team either?

Yeah never been a huge fan either to be honest. Whenever it was performed in a show that was time for a toilet break for me.

Yeah, IYA used to stream fairly well on both Spotify and YouTube. Sadly, I feel that them removing the song from the album is part of what makes the album chart less frequently (in the U.S.) these days!

To me 'I'm Your Angel' is very similar to 'Because You Loved Me' - anthems created to apply to the widest audience possible. You can listen to them and think of a partner, a parent, a daughter, a sibling, a best friend. They are carefully crafted songs with great vocals and I like that. Lyrically, however, I find them quite bland.

I love I’m your angel - always have. Funny it was mentioned cause I had to go looking for it on Spotify to play it the other day. The pig that he is aside ; it’s a beautiful song.

Growing up, I had always known I'm your angel to be on These are special times album, and it not being included on Apple Music bugged me enough to create a playlist with the song in its correct place, lol. Some of the Christmas songs definitely needed more promotion though. I find that the prayer is especially deserving of the success it got, but why not promote oh holy night, Christmas Eve, and at least one or two others?

I think it's safe to say that we won't be getting anything special from These Are Special Times.

Every year we have hope, and we talk about the what if.

 

But every year goes by with just a stupid spotify playlist, and playlists without her good songs.

 

I wish there was someone in charge who actually cared. But they treat her career as if she already left earth.

 

Looking at the artists that no longer here and what has been released after they died (not much). I guess we won't be getting anything special with Celine when that time comes.

I feel like BYLM reads like a love letter from start to finish. I love that. It’s coherent from start to finish, almost like a monologue. I’ve always loved this song. Never skip the studio version. The live version has fallen flat for me though.

Why isn't Celine's TAST CBS TV Special on Apple TV or Amazon Prime?

Mariah has 3! Christmas Specials on Amazon Prime.

The other concerts are also missing.

Only the TC concert/TV Special and the USF concert are on Amazon Prime.

Where is the AND Vegas concert etc.?

I don’t understand why they do things that make no sense. A month ago they posted the performance of “Where Does My Heart Beat Now” in Spanish… I’ve checked other videos and they aren’t translated into my language. Does that happen to you too?

I would receive the money if any TV channel anywhere in the world were to rebroadcast it (put it back on their schedule / TV programming).
