let's not be hypocritical here - u dont have a problem with people uploading stuff from abc , cbs , nbc and other networks in the u.s , canada , france ....obviously if there r legal issues it includes almost all the stuff we have in the multimedia section here or am i wrong?

 

IMO that's not the issue here....it's the donation/good cause issue.

yes of course. i guess you didn't read the second part of my response. the problem i have with it is that this money is going to charity...a word thats seemingly missing from your vernacular.

We won't have a problem to share the Jerry Lewis Telethon video, we didn't have any problem to share the Flood Telethon video when she sang Quand On N'a Que L'amour and we should not have a problem sharing this one.

 

Share it as long as it's there and ppl will still donate money according to their liking. It's not that by sharing something we absolutely rule out the possibility of céline's fans donating any money - the opposite is true and will always be: Ppl who want to donate will donate evene without seeing the concert and ppl who don't want to donate simply won't.

If it was on the UK iTunes I would pay for it (same would have gone for the Elvis duet) There is no way we'll get this and it will end up on youtube so if people are kind enough to cap it and upload it here that should be fair enough.

Just think of it as advertisement of some kind. :) You won't ever force anyone to donate BUT you will make them watch Céline singing for a cause and I bet there will be a proper procentage of ppl that will actually donate some money after having watched it. It would be then thanks to this forum and its admins that on St.Justine's account more money from international donators could be found. :) Both sides would be happy: by sharing it you make others aware of the cause and you make Céline's fans happy to watch their idol sing songs live. It's surely a grey zone here yet we should know better here at CelineChannel Forum. The more ppl will watch it the bigger the chance of them donating to a good cause. Always think positive, always to make the best out of it and frankly I think this time sharing is the right choice. I wouldn't even think about it one second.

No I would like them straight away. Like people have said there are other things that get capped and uploaded here that are for charity. This is exactly the same thing. If they really want every Celine fan to donate something, why not do a pay per view on TC or do a universal iTunes downlaod?

This is exactly the same thing.

It's not the same at all. In fact, it's completely different. This is a pay per view event. If you don't pay, you don't see it and usually things like this are tightly controlled. It's not like Jerry Lewis or Live 8 where the show was broadcast for free in a conventional manner and everyone could see it and record it. And on top of that it's for charity and putting a charity show online will only help to land the forum in hot water, especially if the people behind it think we're bypassing the pay per view system and reducing the amount of money they could potentially receive.

Sorry but I have to agree with Bellamy, Tal and everyone else who thinks we should wait. Come on people, it's for the children! Celine took her time to make this concert so she could raise money for the children and now he spoil the whole thing? Who is going to pay for it if it's already for free on the internet? I guess even Celine would think less of us for not respecting a charity thing.

 

And no, this is not like Live 8 or whatever Telethon what is broadcasted for free on TV. This one you have actually to pay to see and if we upload it less people will pay for it and therefore there will be less money for the charity.

As long as the show is available on pay per view I agree that it shouldn't be posted on here. Many people have argued that videos from charities have been posted before. Yes that's true but this is pay per view people. If you pay you get to watch it and the proceeds go to the hospital. If you don't pay then you don't see it.

Posting it here when it's on pay per view to me is just like stealing from the charity that that's low. I don't think anyone would want to steal from charity.

To be honest guys, I think that its sick that we are preying like vultures around an appearance that Céline made for charity. I for one think that unless you donate to the charity you should have no admittance to viewing the Céline show. After all it was done in aid of children in need, children who are in more need than anyone who has access to this website. Céline has the power to help children like this, and as much as we want to be close to her, we shouldn't exploit children who are in need of serious care.

 

I for one supports charity even if the patron is someone I Love, and i do love Céline

I'm sure that we are not gonna die if we don't see the video during these days...

It's for a good cause, there is not a problem to wait 2 months because, while we wait for it, I'm sure we'll be able to enjoy another videos and performances, many of us are not from Quebec, so.. what's the matter? let's pleople who want to donate, enjoy the show first. We are not paiying for it, so... I think November is not too far away :wink:

I'm watching the show right now!!

I must sa that Celine sing pretty well, everything is live and the show contains the 6 songs

And Si Dieu Existe sounds better in live lol

 

I will transfer the show to my computer this afternoon because i have to go sleep, it's 5h20am, i was too excited to go to sleep, i had to watch the show right now lol

 

PS. Si Dieu Existe is so touching.. Celine is so much in the song, almost crying, very intense, big notes... And Claude Dubois was just watching her, he seems SO proud of her, very beautiful..

 

OMFG!!!: Quand on n'a que l'amour is SO perfect!!! She have that fire in her eyes, that passion!!! The finale is just orgasmic, one of the best performance she's done in years...

OK fair dos if people think uploading the videos is wrong because it's for charity, well then the whole thing shouldn't be uploaded. MP3s, videos it's all from the same performance and it's all for charity.
