Of course there is nothing like being able to experience this live in Québec city with everyone. For those who can and will go I have no doubt it will be one of your most memorable moment with Céline and guests, so unique! not to say that Québec city is such a wonderful place to be. For those lucky fans, have a wonderful time!

Hey, I hope someone can help me out here-

 

I am still on the fence about driving up to QC on Friday- I know that at first you needed tickets to get a reserved spot-

My question, since they are allowing 100,000 extra people in addition to the 100,000 tickets distrbuted- Do you still need a ticket to get onto the Plains?

 

Is anyone planning on going ticket-less?

PS- Are we sure we want to see Celine in HD- Remember the I'm alive video?? :blink:

Who do I have to pay to record the concert? I really want this concert and I'm willing to pay the pay-per-view price to get it, if someone can do it.

YaY! I will be there on Friday. I am hoping to get good video and pictures of this event! TeamCeline is so poopy at times, but I am really excited that I won those tickets into the VIP section. I think it is going to be an amazing show!!

This will be with no doubt special concert if they doing that.

And I do want to see her in HD. I'm dying to see that.

I think the channel is called Illico but I'm not quite sure.. :hmm:

 

It would be a disaster if nobody record this concert :down:

Videotron (Indigo), Cogeco (Indigo), Bell Tele, Shaw (PPV), Star Choice (PPV). It will cost 19,99$. Also, it will be available on Videotron (on demand), Cogeco and Shaw until September 7, at the same price. Someone has got to record it.

This should be the French DVD- what a great memento of this huge event that would be- a properly produced DVD with extras and interviews with her guest performers and people of Quebec and officials and Quebec fans...instead of a French DVD more or less the same as the English one...it would be S P E C- T A C .

Totally agree, Stevo! This is a huge event in Celine's career that most of her fans won't get to see. And I bet she's going to be killer. Like Rene said, she really rises to these occasions.

 

Of course, for the same reason, there should have been a DVD of La derniere de Celine. So, I'm not holding my breath...

 

If they do broadcast it on TVA, after it's finished it's PPV run, I'll definitely tape it there. But so far this seems unconfirmed, so hopefully someone who gets these PPV services will record it.

I heard Paul McCartney's concert lasted 2 hours and 40 minutes.. :o Would it be a safe bet to say Celine's could be just as long? I assume they won't cut any songs out as it's a live event without commercials, right?

I'm not against her re-recording certain parts if they're unhappy with it.

 

I'd prefer this DVD over a TC tour with the same tracks as the anglophone version.

I don't see a problem. Many singers do this when they release DVDs.

celine rerecorded after the taping and put a new track into the DVD so her voice doesnt sound as bad live?

We don't know if she did this before but they are ussually taping 2 shows and make 1 DVD from the best moments of both. Like with ''A New Day...'' they were taping 1 whole week. But re-recording vocals after the concert date and after that dubbing it with these vocals to make the DVD sounds better is an often practise. Like 70-80% of the artists do this so it won't be a big deal if Celine did/do it. I'm actually glad that we have a full fan-recording from one of the Boston concerts and some songs from the other concert so we'll see if they'll dub it or not with new vocals. I personally don't think they should do this cause she sounded great.

so she goes in the studio and does this or they take the two videos from the concerts and sort of combine them?...i don't think she did this with a new day...i mean her vocals were great, but not studio great...i dont know

Yes. That's what all artists do. They've been doing it since the 1940's. Same with Judy Garland.

 

With AND it didn't matter 100% with vocals, as many of the tracks were already pre-recorded. It was just about catching it on film.

Well for example with AND....they changed her vocals in MHWGO a bit. They also added (or enhanced) the "wind" effect in SM....:)
