"Toi Et Moi" duet with Charles Aznavour

Hello,

 

Back in 2003 : Celine was about to release "1 fille 4 types". There were rumours about a duet with the legend Charles Aznavour.

 

During the 1f4t TV special , he was there and they sang together the cover "Toi et moi". It wasn't live but playback : it means that they recorded it in studio. Indeed, it was supposed to appear on the next Aznavour's duet album. Even the french host mentioned that fact!

 

Some weeks later, the new Charle's album was out : there were duets but no sign of "toi et moi"...

 

Since then : nothing ! So what happened?

 

This song is so lovely and very well sung! I can't get enough of watching it ! What's "funny" is that there are mp3 of every Celine's performance (HQ) but this song is very rare to find! Actually, there is one but very poor quality and this is not the full song!

 

Is this duet cursed? lol

You`re right, it`s a lovely song but so rare! It`s not easy finding it even on the Internet. Which is bad. It`s a good song and has to be heard by all of us.

I found out on fojg today that Josh will be doing a duet with this guy that will appear on Charles 2008 album and Celine's duet will be on it as well. That 's all I know.

According to this article, Celine would have recorded Simply The Best (originally by Tina Turner) yesterday in France.

Que non, deux complices de Jean-Jacques Goldman, Jacques Vénéruso et Érick Benzi, l'attendaient dans un petit studio pour réenregistrer un demi-couplet, en français et en anglais, d'un duo avec Charles Aznavour (Toi et moi, You and Me) qu'elle a chanté avec le grand Charles il y a déjà deux ans. Une affaire de 20 minutes... J'oubliais, il lui restait à enregistrer Simply the Best de Tina Turner.
