Yes, yesI hope! Actually René said she will be recording the whole album in Vegas. So no Paris this time... it will be her first French Vegas made album! LOLzzz! I bet JJG has flown in from France to supervise the recording progress. They surely made great choices. I have actually suspected that the album has been recorded around September/October this year.

I think some songs from 1F4T was recorded in Vegas too. Those songs Celine recorded when she had short hair. If Celine recorded the new French album in September/October this year, it means we'd have the voice like "Summertime" on Jerry Lewis.

Actually I think she recorded the entire 1 Fille & 4 Types album in Vegas. She said they only rehearsed in Paris, they showed her the songs, made some demos and stuff...Anyway, it doesn't matter. This album should be amazing, with 10 female writers being part of it and JJ. I'm more worried about her English album...now there, she needs to find something new to do For some reason, they're so much more inspired when it comes to French albums, they always come up with great ideas. Not that I don't like the English albums she released, I totally love them, but there wasn't much difference between A New Day Has Come and One Heart. Miracle was great cause it was so different, it had a concept, like most of her French albums do. I can't wait for 2007....not to mention 2008, if they decide to go on tour

i just cant understand why they r rushing it...with the english album and with the french one .

i know that promotion of the french albums is much more easy but still celine has a very short break during may (10 days)...the french album wont even sell 600k in french cause celine just wont be able to be in french for too long and promote it

 

again - why not releasing the french album around the end of her vegas gig? november/december? and the new english album around march 2008 , celine would then have the time to promote both albums as much as she wants to...

i mean , those people should know a thing or 2 about promotion i just cant get it

it would be much smarter to release the album around march...she cant promote the album 2 months before the release , people would forget about it ...she can record some specials i guess but it's not the same...let's just say that this album wont be a diamond one in france

You should be careful about what you say The Voice, it won't be a Diamond album in France? Well, there aren't many diamond albums in France to start with but I would not underestimate our Celine when it comes to French albums! I feel a big hit coming...

 

And no, I don't thing she's rushing it. Please stop staying this. They know more than us what they have to do. Maybe not Sony but René and Céline do. I think it's smart to release both albums in the same year because when she tours the world she'll promote the French album in French speaking countries (and English album because she'll sing some English songs) and she'll promote the English one in the rest of the world (with maybe a song or two from the new French album)!! And after the Tour, she will rest and have a Baby... Now there's the rush!

Gogo, there is no even ONE album in France that reach a diamond status in the recent times! It'd be insane! LOL Sales have decreased dramatically. Even Mylene Farmer, a huge seller in France, sold only about 300 000 copies of her new album! And that is already respectable. And Céline is still in this respectable position.

 

Additionally if she will record a song from the bottom of her heart - which she will I assume - and release it as the first single with an elegant video she will have a winner. I mean JNVP charted as high as SISDA back then in 1998 on the French charts! That goes to show she still can achieve success if she records something personal people care about.

 

NEWS: Supposedly Françoise Dorin is one of the 10 females!!!

seb , there r still artists in france that r selling 500k and more from their albums and anyway , i dont care about them - we all know there is no competition when it comes to celine for sure not in france....all she has to do is be there more and i promise u she'll sell 1 million copies in france alone

 

the thing is that with the promotion of sony(which by the way is a bit better in france) and the vegas show that prevents her from promoting the new album right (which means coming back few times to france and not just promote the album for the first 2 weeks) this album will never sell like it could...i wonder if it's even gonna sell more than ONCP....she sold around 530k from ONCP in france right?
