They're probably placing "Notes" under "Celine Dion Parfums" en "Always Belong" under "Belong". Just like "Memento" gets ignored really..

i still cant believe celine wont take her long break after vegas - this woman loves to perform sooooooooo much and her last visit to france probably convinced her to do this world tour

she'll probably take a few weeks break after vegas but for sure not few years ...i wonder how will she promote her english album...she'll have 2 more months or so to perform in vegas - i hope the album wont die until she'll be able to promote it outside the u.s. when her deal in vegas is over...

This album will be a stayer. It'll first get promoted when it's released, it'll get promoted when the DVD is released, it'll get promoted when "Enchanting" is released (US), it'll get promoted when the ends.. then the album will sink lower in the charts.. BUT, then there's the tour.. which will propel the album right back to the top..

commercialy , the french album wont sell more than her 2 previous ones - celine wont be able to promote it right cause she'll be busy performing in vegas and recording her english album . she might come to france for few days but not more than that and until the world tour in 2008 noone will even remmember this album .

 

i dont understand the rush , why not releasing the french album in november and the new english album around march 2008 ?

this way she'll be able to promote both albums...

Yeah that's a great idea, was quite disappointed with OH and some of ANDHC. She's so capable of singing more well written songs, come on gal!

According to a short blog entry the French CD will be composed and produced by JJG, just like D'eux and SISDA (of cours his borther worked on the as well).

i hope celine will work with some new writers - she needs new blood+ the old ones who proved time after time their talent - let's make a petition - BRING BACK COREY HART!!!!!!!!

i miss him soooooooooo much - he wrote the 2 most meaningful songs from the LTAL album - "miles to go" and "where is the love" and it would fit celine's voice perfectly!!!

i want bryan adams again too , and Andy Hill and Pete Sinfield who wrote "think twice" and let's not forget miss diane warren who still writes beautiful songs for other artists...

 

but the most important thing - bring corey back!!! make them work together - him and david - omggggggggggg we'll get the most amazing english recored ever

She will be back with Afanasieff this time around, gogo. I am not sure about Corey. David is also a possibility here as well. It seems she will go the usual safe way for the English record. I am only eagerly awaiting when will the Swedish tem announce their newly written 10 songs for the English album.

dont be so sure , we already heard about the deal with coty . it's just like that deal with chrysler in 2003 and seb is right - it doesnt sound too promising

it should all be about her music and i dont want coty or anyone else to have a say on the matter and decied which songs would promote their products more...

 

that's why we should write celine's team about our thoughts and expectations

Gogo, the point is we are not to make any demands. It is up to the creative artist to deliver goodies, to express himself and to sell himself accordingly. Céline when it comes to her English CDs has always been led by Sony, René and her usual team of writers and producers. We may not like what they do with her currently or at any stage of her career, yet one has to accept that she is willing to take no risks when it comes up to her English career.

 

That said imagine that nobody here would ever question Céline's credibility and originality in French. We've been blessed throughout years with many fabulous, deep and versatile albums. It seems that with every single release Céline was to confess something, tell a story so to say. One could argue that it's up to JJG to make that happen - it was him after all who made all this possible, it was him who brought this certain honesty and cohesion into Céline's work. Nobody would question his ideas. He might be "out of ideas for lyrics" now as he himself said but we durely wouldn't question his awareness regarding Céline's French career. He would never let her do something that he thinks is sub-par to her standards.

 

Now both English and her French CDs are somewhat expressions of what she wants to say to her fans, her listeners. And if there already exist some plans to work with the Swedish team again, they will be surely acted upon. No question here. If she works with them again it means she enjoys that and is very happy with the current state of her career. And it would be her decision. A decision we as fans simply can't question cuzz it's not like she's doing it for us in first line. It has to mean something for her as well. Of course, even if the result is as dreadful as OH...

 

The issue is so complex, gogo and I think it would be stupid of us to DEMAND of her something that she seemingly does not want to do! About the English album we know absolutely nothing apart from the Jurtas songs, Ferland's songs and Afanasieff's involvement. Her English career has always been lighter than her French one, way less profound and as it seems it won't change any time soon since it again SEEMS that she is quite happy with what she has.

seb , celine said herself that she is NOT happy about all the decisions she nade about her career and alot of people thought she talked about the OH era...

commercialy it was not a success , artisticly - do i even have to go there?

i think celine never treated this album as an ordinary one , it was just a gift for her fans that couldnt come to vegas - she said so herself .

 

i just cant understand why they r rushing things? why not waiting a little more? why not taking a few months vacation after vegas and let celine pick the songs one by one and record those tunes in few weeks and not few days...let her record 70 songs and not 20...give her the time to choose the right ones , the concept , what she really wants to say and not just general songs about love and how good life is .

i want to hear her sing about the lost of her father , about being afraid of loosing rene , about all of those things she talked about time after time in her interviews but never actually sang about in english .

LOL 70 songs? She has never recorded so many! Imagine she recorded for D'eux only 9 songs!!! The album was supposed to have only 9 songs! Yes yes yes, no demos! That is the only way classics are born - to commit yourself to what you do.

 

Needless to say even if I'm not expecting much from her new English album I am still thrilled to see which direction she will take and what will she has to say this time around. She has plenty of room to surprise us, especially that we know that it took her 6 days to record SISDA. She could do it with her English songs, as well. Just record them and let the music speak for itself.
