Demand I SURRENDER as a single now!(along the DVD)

(I'm sorry for creating a new topic about this but I feel that this is the most important post I'll ever write around here. I know it's a lot to read, but people, please read - and react!)

 

Now we know Team Celine are actually interested in what we want to have when the DVD of A New Day will finally be released, we have a chance to influence big time!

 

For over four years now Céline fans have been complaining and crying over the fact that one of Céline's strongest tracks ever never was released as a single. And this magical track has a very unique feature: it has everything a hardcore fans wants from a Céline track + it has everything the general public wants from a Céline track - major hit warning! I am of course speaking of I Surrender.

 

Why this track was never released as a single is the single most mysterious act ever made in the musical history of the lengend Céline Dion. It has all potential to reach as high in charts and popularity as the unbeatable My Heart Will Go On. For years and years the general public has been waiting for a single from the senstional diva matching the Titanic hit. Hits have arrived no one can't deny that, but they are descending in the charts more and more for each release. Last time a real hit a la Céline Dion hit the radio was in 1999 when That's The Way It Is was released. So why all this? Is Céline Dion getting worse? Is she recording more and more low quality tracks - NO,  the answer is those high quality tracks with huge hit possibility stays on the albums, unknown to the general public. Fans see this. And debates about it. There have been a lot of these "wasted hit material"-tracks which have stayed on the album as "fill out" through the years. But none of them has awakened so many feelings so many reations, so much appreciation, so much frustration about it never been released as a single, as - that's right - I Surrender.

 

With this sole track Céline could had risen to the highest peaks in the charts and the radio stations would have adored to play it over and over again. Even the critics would eat it for breakfast with a happy face. And the thing is I am quite sure it wouldn't need too much promotion (a word Céline's team seems to have been almost frightened of these past years) it would live it's own life, because it is that strong...

 

So is this a wasted hit - definitely.

Does almost every single fan adore this track - oh yea.

Does it has all the potential for the general public to great this track with open arms and even more - if this track doesn't no track does.

Is it a great shame it was never released as a single - the greates!

Is it too late to give this track the attention it deserves?

Is it too late to release it as a single?

Is it too late?

Is it too late???

- NO it ain't!!! Not yet!

This is the last chanse this tack to become a single.

 

And what do I mean by that? How would that be possible?

Is there just a coinsidence it is on the set list of A New Day? It is only a coinsidence this unknown to the public track, never before performed live, never used in promotion purpose to its original album (A New Day Has Come) gets to be on the set list of the most important project of Céline Dion's career? Is it a coinsidence it gets to be there and not some of her other greatest hits? No, no it isn't. Obviosly Céline herself has some feelings for this track. And imagine if she knew how appreciated this track is among her fans. If she had the slightest idea, a single wouldn't be too far away.

 

And how would it be done?

The DVD is about to be recorded in January 2007. A DVD which later will be released. A DVD of the show A New Day.. A show which contains the most wasted hit material in her career - that's right - I Surrender.

They must promote the DVD in some way, and what way wouldn't be better than with a single, a single of the most appreciated track by fans never before release as a single? It's all so simple, the song already is there... it's in the show.

 

So now I will repeat one of my most important arguments on this forum, I've said it before, I'll say it now again because it is well worth repeating: Release I Surrender as a single along with the DVD of A New Day... The video for the single is taken from the DVD, from the show, a live performance of I Surrender from A New Day. The single will be promoted, the DVD will be promoted with the single and the video, and the show will be promoted with it all.

 

It will be the most easy made super hit single release ever. The song carries itself and along it's sucess the DVD will be sucessful... IMAGINE!!!

 

I will soon rest my case.

 

But people remember, how many times haven't we been comlaining about this track not been released as a single? How many times?! It can happen! It can! Take actions now!

 

Imagine how fantastic it will be when this comes through... a single released by request of the fans...

 

And this song would finally been given the attention it deserves!

 

Come on guys! Don't surrender just yet!!

Well let's see if Sony makes it right this time. Artists like Robbie Williams have already released promo singles for their live DVDs. They weren't that popular but still the fact is that they released live songs.

 

So we will have the DVD or preferably BD of AND next year and I wonder if they could do the fans the pleasure and release it in Europe at least.

But...if..no when..they will release the DVD simultaneously with the CD, that won't be possible.. As they will also release a single of the CD. Unless they also put IS on the CD..

 

But if it was possible, it would be a good step. Especially released together with the performance @ the show as the music video.

Yeah, I mean they wouldn't you know make another blu screen video for that song since the flames @ AND are perfect. Didn't the official site tell us it's due to be release summer next year? Though I don't think they will release the DVD so shortly before the end of the show.
