thevoice Posted January 23, 2007 at 10:44 AM Posted January 23, 2007 at 10:44 AM i dont like the "less is more" attitude - usually those who r using it r vocalists that cant sing like they used to so they sing in a lower key and in interviews instead of admitting they just cant sing like they used to they r saying "less is more" . i dont want celine to scream or yell , i want a classy performance like GBA in 2001 or LEE...i just want her voice to be powerful and clear...not raw and raspy .the best way to describe what i want is by comparing her 2 live performances of "miracle" - celine performed live with this song on oprah and on ellen .on oprah her voice sounded weak and i couldnt believe it's the same singer who nailed ABM...on ellen however celine nailed miracle and sang it much better than the cd version! she sang it on a higher key and i just couldnt believe the diffrence.she didnt scream , she sang it with her signature powerful and clear voice and this is how i want her to sound Quote

thevoice Posted January 23, 2007 at 11:39 AM Posted January 23, 2007 at 11:39 AM (edited) i miss the most this thing she is doing with her voice..it's hard to describe ...like when she sang "god bless america" - the part of "thru the night with a light frooooooooooooooooom above"....the "from" part when she is doing this thing with her voice , i dont know how to call it lol! or while singing IIC in vegas - "but i know that i can never cry yooooooouur tears" - it's not exactly a high note...it's a special thing she is doing with her voice...it's one of her signatures as a vocalist yet it's very hard to describe - i hope some of u understand me she is doing it in almost each one of her powerful ballads....
