Celine has had MUCH more radio friendly singles in the past few years namely I Drove All Night and I'm Alive and they were associated with huge publicity campaigns too (Chrysler and Stuart Little 2) and both songs failed to make a huge impact in the US just like You and I would if it were to be serviced to US radio again now. Let it be.

Dave Stewart is the other half of Eurythmics. I'm guessing he worked with Celine and Annie Lennox on their duet (for Annie's album) and that's where the collaboration started... WOWSOME!!!

the super talented R.KELLY wrote celine 2 songs - OMG - he can do anything he wants to- from classic ballads to pure RNB tunes . "i'm your angel" is one of my all time favourites . i'm so excited about the news

I've just found out Dave Stewart is, in a way, also related to John Shanks:

 

In 2006, Stewart resurrected Platinum Weird, a band he allegedly formed in the early 1970s in London with singer Erin Grace, but which was in reality created in 2004.[2] According to the fictional account, Erin was moody and mysterious, and disappeared shortly before the band's eponymous album was due to be released in 1974. Platinum Weird features noted songwriter Kara DioGuardi on vocals and the band has re-recorded some of the fictional original band's songs and some new ones as well for an upcoming album. people.... did you know that Glen Ballard (of course the producer who produced the best (selling) debut album Jagged Little Pill from Alanis) already worked with/for Céline in the past!!?? I knew I read his name somewhere, now he wasn't a producer... but he wrote the music to... Love By Another Name

I am very excited to hear the news about Dave Stuart. Just like Moody he will surely adapt his sound to Céline. There will be no majestic sounds, I suspect only a guitar and one or two at most daring riffs and there you have it. Still, a very very very welcomed change in her English music. The album will be the bomb!
