samueldethierry Posted September 28, 2007 at 09:29 PM Posted September 28, 2007 at 09:29 PM (edited) Amazon have just released the album detail for Celine Dion's new English album, Taking Chances. Contrary to the rumours and speculation in the forum, Amazon have stated there are just 9 tracks for the album; this being so for both Album only and Album+DVD versions. Amazon link: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Taking-chances-Cel...4610&sr=8-2According to the site, the song list for her album is as follows: 1. Taking Chances 2. Surprise Surprise 3. That's Just The Woman In Me 4. This Time 5. Can't Fight The Feeling 6. Alone 7. Song For You 8. World To Believe In 9. Eyes On Me Amazon (US) have not yet updated album information. Can we have some confirmed information to who is right and who is wrong?!? Would love some concrete information as oppose to rumours! I hope there are 16/17 tracks as previously stated on here oppose to 9!!! Information would be great! Thanks! Edited September 28, 2007 at 09:32 PM by samueldethierry Quote
Céline's Blues Posted September 28, 2007 at 09:32 PM Posted September 28, 2007 at 09:32 PM Surely Sony Music is WRONG and some amazon retailer is right. YEAH Quote http://i.imgur.com/dmreJ.jpg
samueldethierry Posted September 28, 2007 at 09:36 PM Posted September 28, 2007 at 09:36 PM Well seeing as Amazon have been contracted with SONYmusic to promote her album (e.g. that TC recording video) i would suspect that subsequently Amazon's sources for her album information would be more reliable than most "retailers". I'm not looking to argue, just to find out the right info! Quote

fred Posted September 29, 2007 at 12:05 AM Posted September 29, 2007 at 12:05 AM I think its JapanYeah, Japan only. Is one of these bonous tracks by any chance TLYM? Yepp, and the other one is Be The Man. And yea Alone is good. Expected a bit moore from Moody though, don't know why but I did. The music box is superb, gives the mysterious sound Céline sounds so good in (My Precious One, Nature Boy, Refuse To Dance). And Céline's vocals are very fine, nothing to complain about there expect - I'm with Shon on this one - it wouldn't hurt with a little more feeling. The production (even though it has that music box) is not at all as new and original and it isn't better than the original, therefor this track SHALL NOT BE A SINGLE! It suits very good as album fill out and it should also do very well as single B-side, should be on TC single but I expect it now to be on the second single. Rock, no, pop yea. Stop calling this rock, Céline has done rockier stuff in the past. This is as rocky as ca 2000 commercial pop wannabe rock gets. People don't praise it too much, it ain't that great. And don't come around with that crap that this production should be a lot better than the original. The original is cheesy yes, but it's a perfect example of its era. And it should be seen as it is. However it has been on repeat here aswell, and it's a good alternative for the overplayed Taking Chances. /fred Quote Peace and love to all.
JamesMorrison Posted September 29, 2007 at 12:15 AM Posted September 29, 2007 at 12:15 AM I'd be extremely dissapointed with 9 tracks. I've waited for so long for a really good Engligh Celine album and this would be a bummer. Quote

Javier_Natalio Posted September 29, 2007 at 04:37 AM Posted September 29, 2007 at 04:37 AM I think alone should be the third single. I'm leaving the *second single position in my mind* open, until I hear skies of La and got nothing... Quote
Chin Posted September 29, 2007 at 04:39 AM Posted September 29, 2007 at 04:39 AM The 9-track tracklist is absolutely not the real one...The album should include at least 14 songs And I do believe in the 16-track tracklist by 2 SonyBMG website Quote
CSCfan Posted September 29, 2007 at 04:40 AM Posted September 29, 2007 at 04:40 AM leak of the day Celine Dion Shows Us That She Has Heart (Or At Least A Heart MP3) ARTIST: Celine DionSONG: "Alone"WEB DEBUT: Sept. 28, 2007 ONE-LISTEN VERDICT: Yes, it's the Heart song, and Dion's vocal performance is uncharacteristically restrained, with her first fist-to-the-chest moment not coming until right before the second chorus. This track--which will apparently be on Dion's unofficial Halloween album, Taking Chances--was produced by ex-Evanescence guitarist Ben Moody, who adds music-box piano, big, dramatic strings, and a slightly militaristic drumbeat to the proceedings, thus giving it a slightly more ominous feel than the versions of the song that you hear from the "rock" chicks on American Idol. (Celine will get you alone, you better believe it.) WHERE TO FIND IT: The always entertaining--and sometimes useful--whatz-new. If you dare. bronzey Posted September 29, 2007 at 04:57 AM Posted September 29, 2007 at 04:57 AM I dunno if this has been posted... Here's Billboard's review of 'Taking Chances' Taking Chances CELINE DIONProducer(s): John ShanksLabel: Columbia AC radio has evolved dramatically since Celine Dion took up residency at Caesars Palace nearly five years ago —but as she proves on aptly titled "Taking Chances," the globe's best-selling female singer has no interest in repeating history. The title track from new Columbia set (Nov. 13) supplants chest-thumping for fist-pumping amid a bushwhacking midtempo clamor of guitars. Dion's vocals display an appreciably less-polished veneer —an unconstrained ease among glorious dips and bellows—as she riffs with revelry at the peak. Written by Dion mainstay Kara DioGuardi with Eurythmics' Dave Stewart and produced by Grammy Award-winning John Shanks, every note works in tandem with the greatest instrument of all: the consummate voice of Dion. "Chances" blazed onto AC at No. 23 this week; with a record-setting 11 No. 1s at the format since 1992, the countdown begins to another sure-fire triumph. —Chuck Taylor http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/conte...f92e22b3d5b663 Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v459/bronzey/bronzey_sig2.jpg
