Wow it's good to hear that she is feeling better and performing again. I'm always suprised that in the few years since she started performing in Vegas that she has not had to cancel some shows more often since everyone gets sick once in awhile.

I know it must be hard for people that traveled a long way to see her to suddenly find out that the show(s) are cancelled but I guess that's the chance everyone takes with going to a live show. I know she always feels bad if she has to cancel since it disappoints her audience.

WOW! Celine's return made a headline on the main BBC news page on the new section website:

The main page:

The article can be found here:

It doesn't really say anything different from what has been mentioned already but I am surprised to see Celine making on the main page!

Céline was on The Insider last night. A video of her singing MHWGO lasted roughly five seconds, but at least the media still takes notice of her

I know it's a rag magazine, but I saw a picture of Celine on the front cover of National Examiner with the words "Disease Rocks Celine Dion" next to it.

So I had to share...the article says...

Is songbird's Titanic career threatened?

Canadian songbird Celine Dion shocked her ticket buyers when she had to cancel her Las Vegas perforamnces at Caesars Palace because of a shocking virus that often recurs.

Dion, who is set to be replaced by Cher in 2008, has been telling fans that she's suffering from a condition called Labyrinthitis that could last anywhere from a couple of weeks to a year.

Her husband-manager Rene Angelil says her condition began with a viral illness that gave her extreme vertigo caused by fluid in her ear.

Her offical Web site read:

"We regret to inform you that the performances of a New Day...scheduled for Thursday April 20, Friday April 21, Saturday April 22, and Sunday April 23 have been canceled.

"Celine continues to recover from the virus she contracted last week which spread to her inner ear.

"Medically known as viral labyrinthitis, the condition causes nausea, dizziness, and genera weakness.

"Her doctor has prescribed medication to treat the associated irritations, and instructed her to rest for the next five days, so that the virus can run its course."

Concertgoers were told they could get a refund or exchange their tickets for a future performance.

Labyrinthitis is an inflammation or dysfunction of the vestibular labyrinth-a system of intercommunications cavities and canals in the inner ear. The syndrome causes acute vertigo, which can lead to nausea and vomiting. It can also cause a spinning sensation.

According to experts, even though recovery is the rule, recurrences are common, and in extreme cases, episodes can last years.

And things could be even worse-if Dion, 38, had contracted the bacterial kind of labyrinthitis, there would be the possibility of permanent hearing loss.

Says one fan: "Celine probably doesn't feel like it right now, but she's lucky she doesn't have the worse kind of disease."

I hope Celine recovers quickly, just thought I'd share the article with you all. If there are any spelling errors, it is because I typed the article myself while I was reading it.
