Celine continues to recover from the virus she contracted last week which spread to her inner ear. Medically known as viral labyrinthitis, the condition causes nausea, dizziness, and general weakness. Her doctor has prescribed medication to treat the associated irritations, and instructed her to rest for the next 5 days, so that the virus can run its course. Those who purchased tickets with a credit card for the cancelled performances will be automatically refunded. Those who purchased tickets with cash may present tickets at the original point of sale for a refund. For ticket exchanges for a future performance, please contact the original point of purchase. Emma's Story "I felt this sensation one morning in October 2002 upon waking."UPDATE (April 2006). Emma is now working full time (her career can't be halted any longer and her threshold for coping is higher these days!). No improvement in dizziness. Every article I've read says the vertigo can last weeks, and come every so often for months (from certain head movements), with a slight possibility of permanent hearing loss (but not likely with the viral kind). Now, I'm sure she'll recover fully, but I wonder about the 500th show. There's no telling how long she'll be feeling unwell, but it could be awhile. Hmm...I guess we'll have to wait and hope for the best. Quote
