How many different languages do you speak?

My native tongue is Bulgarian.

I also know English, German and French. But my French is rather miserable now, as I understand almost everythnig when I read, a very good portion when I hear it spoken, but I lack practice and am not confident enough to speak.

I know (or rather used to know, since I haven't practiced in ages) Latin, Ancient Greek and Ancient Bulgarian.

At different moments in my life I have shortly studied Polish, modern Greek, Spanish and Hebrew. I don't remember anything of those unfortunatelly, maybe with the exception of some bits and pieces.

As Bulgarian, I also understand Macedonian, some Serbian and some Russian, but not much.

Now I want to learn Chinese and Japanese, because I love Chinese and Japanese porcelain and I want to get into research on that...

My native language is Finnish. Then I can speak English and French quite well, and Swedish quite poorly. :D It's the lack of practice I would say. :P I can also speak some Spanish, but it's only my second year studying it so it's not very fluent yet. Buut getting there little by little I hope.. ^_^ At the moment I'm also learning Russian, now I am able to recognize all the characters but I can't speak anything yet (except "thank you", "good bye" and small sentences like that :D ).

I also used to learn German, but can't really speak it anymore. Then I would still like to learn Italian and Portuguese, and Japanese and Dutch some day! ^_^

Finnish is my mother tongue. I also speak Swedish, English, German and a little French and Italian.

I think I speak fairly good English and Swedish. I've even studied Scandinavian filology at the university for a year. It was basically Swedish on the first year. I also took one course in Norwegian before I quit those Scandinavian filology studies (too boring :D), but I don't remember much of it.

I've studied German for 3 years in high school and now two years at the university, but it's not going too well coz I never remember those "dativ und akkusativ"-forms.

I love the French language, but I don't speak it very well yet. I just started to learn it a year ago. I also studied Italian for a year, but quit it coz I didn't have enough time.

Now I'm starting to think that maybe I can't speak English, coz it always takes me too much time to post here. :D

Wow you guys are all so talented with your many languages! I only speak English. And I'm learning French.

I wish I had let my Grandmother teach me German while she was still alive.

And I wish I hadn't let my parents force me to learn Japanese for a year in 7th grade- I wanted to do French instead, but they said "no, you'll use Japanese more in your life." Well guess what? I've forgotten it all, and never used it. But French would have come in handy.
