Back in the day, I guess around 2000, a lot of people here in Brazil used to mistake Lara for Celine and vice versa.

Aha, i heard about it. Lara's song was used in 'Lacos de famillia' and people were like 'OMG, Celine Dion has a new awesome song, MEU DEUS!!' :wacko: :-D

Lara is popular here in the Netherlands among true music lovers.
Till last year most of her albums could be found in CD-shops here.
A concert in a small venue would sell here, I believe.

Well, i guess among true music lovers Lara's popular in LOTS of countries. Still I'm glad people love her music, come to see her shows. I saw her live for the first time last november only, she was awesome. But i wish she would sorta revive her french career rather then touring eastern Europe and so on. I mean, this russian composer she works with wrote at least one great song for her which has a music video i do like a lot but still I want her back in Europe. Dunno why i feel like this cuz it's only HER business actually and only up to HER where to earn her thousand and millions but oh well...

I wonder if the same happened when 'Meu Grande Amor' was used in 'O Clone' and 'I Guess I Loved You' in 'Senhora do destino' :-D People again took her for Celine? :w00t: P.S. Damn I do love novelas :wub: I'm dealing with a tough choice these days: Joia Rara or Caminho das Indias should i watch :-D

I guess at that time people already knew who Lara was. She came to Brazil and she went to many tv shows.

I don't really watch novelas, but I've heard Caminho das Indias was a really good one. :-D

:giggle: We sorta skipped pass the new single and video, eh?

Personally, I think its OK. If it came on the radio, then I would turn it up. But I won't be buying it unless its on her new english album! The music video is boring as heck. And the dancers were distracting, especially when the camera is looking through their bodies. But it's nice to see Lara is back. I guess her hearing is healed or mostly healed which is good news.

I'm more excited about the announcement that Lara is touring NA some time in March/spring of next year!

I saw she is going to give concerts in the USA too... I wonder if these will sell out? Is she popular enough?

And will it be mostly French or English? And two concerts in Finland! I am still quite surprised! And a bit pissed she never gave a concert in Holland :dots:

Okay, I admit I did not read through this entire topic but I wanted to post. I wondered what had happened with Lara Fabian because the only thing I remember hearing was "I Will Love Again" way back in 2000, then she just disappeared. I think I read somewhere that she had made another English album but it flopped. I also remember reading that Celine was a great influence on her music; cool to know that.

I like the song! It is not mind blowing, but the refrain does get stuck in your head!

I hope the new album will be more pop than Le Secret was. I enjoy that one a lot too, but I think that it

s time for her to have a pop album again and not a concept album!

I guess I can hear Céline sing this song too... Though I think David did a better job on songs like Et S'Il N'En Resait Qu'une, AAttendre, La Mer Et L'Enfant, Si Je n'ai rien que toi and Je Ne Suis Pas Celle
