"I'm only going say this once. I don't care what people's reason's is for meeting Celine and I sure as hell don't care why Curtis' got to meet her again. The point is he got his chance and as some people pointed out, he saw quite a bit of her when she was here. Not only did he get to meet her, but he attended her soundcheck at Montecasino. I don't know who is to blame, be it Celine herself or the people organizing the M&Gs, but it is totally unfair to some of her other fans. Everybody deserves a chance to meet her. So why do certain people get invited over and over again? Curtis is not the only fan that flew halfway across the world to see her. Loads of fans do that numerous times. I am also sick of certain people or fan groups that think that they have some claim over Celine (and I'm not only talking about the RH's, there are some individuals here on this forum that think that they have the right to meet her for whatever reason). While I was in Vegas in March, I had no idea what was going on behind closed doors and only read about it afterwards. I could not believe it. Some of us flew halfway across the world and spent a shitload of money to see Celine and we had the oppertunity to at least attend a soundcheck, but no, certain people had to take that from us. I am not jealous and I sure as hell will survive even if I never get a chance to meet her, I am simply stating my opinion.

Another thing that is starting to tick me off is this thing that a certain group of members is always on a certain bandwagon like that person is some kind of saint. Geez people, give your own opinion for a change.

I am sorry for going off topic and I'm pretty sure that my post is going to tick some people off, but that is fine, I just had to get this off my chest, been building up for a while now.

It's a touchy subject, because we can never place value on fans, of course each fan deserves to meet Celine and have as many opportunities as the next one. But she has so many fans and so many of them are willing to travel to see her from so far (that's such a testament to her international star power!) that of course, they can't all meet her. It's sad, yes. She would just be swamped. I know you know this Claudette, I'm just typing what I'm thinking as it comes to me.

Have you heard Curtis' story? From what I gather, you don't really care (not saying that in a a mean way, but you said that above) but since we were talking about him in the thread, he has an amazing story that was mostly just great luck. Celine sought him out time and time again. So yes he may have gotten to hang out around her a few times in SA, but it was Celine's wish that he do so. Who would refuse that and say oh I just met you so I'll decline? he couldn't have offered another fan in his place bc she only invited him because she wanted HIM. Any fan would do the same as he did.

I wish all of you knew the story behind the RH soundcheck. I think a lot of you would have different opinions unfortunately. Not going to go into that again but it wasn't like "the superstars of Celine" get into the soundcheck. Everyone was invited and yes, it was turned down unfortunately months before it happened.

I really hope you weren't referring to me in any way in that post I would love to meet Celine just as much as any of you, and I could have called in favors or used connections so many times and probably already have met her by now 10 times over but I won't. I refuse to beg to meet Celine. Whether you're talking about me or not, any opportunity I've been given I have worked very hard for and anyone else here could have done it too. I have let it happen and let them see my love for her and come to me with opportunities. Let your love for Celine shine as bright as you feel it and people can't help but notice your heart. I would never ask to meet her or to go to a soundcheck or anything.I show my love and sometimes I get invited. It's all about motives. Curtis didn't ask for any of this, other people didn't ask for M&G, some did, but sometimes you just have to be invited and that sucks for everyone else. There are so many things that a lot of fans have to keep secret because of things like this- other ppl get so jealous (not you, Claudette, I know your not jealous, but there's a ton of jealousy out there) and nasty that you just can't even share some of your best moments for fear of getting bashed on. What can you do?

Anyways, I adore you Claudette, I know you believe what you feel and that's your opinion, but I hate for fans to hurt over someone else's good fortune with Celine.

Lindsey, some of us did not hear a thing about there being a sound check when we went in march, for I would have been there in a flash. Evidently someone was speaking on all our behalfs.

Has anyone else noticed that a good lot of members who used to be very active on the forum have dissapeared now ?? pity....

they have stopped posting or even coming because this forum has been infested by people who just post randomly everywhere and some others who keep posting the exact same point, in detail may i add, in every single thread on the forum, new or old! this is becoming frustrating. plus there are those who have no hang on reality and live in a crazy world of their own...

there was a time when coming here back in 2005 was something that we looked forward to because there were interesting discussions and opinions that were shared, but nowadays it is just posting for the sake of posting, and most of the time it is just utter rubbish!

as an example, 2 threads about the new english and new french albums are gawd knows how many pages and in all those 150+ pages there is only real info on 1 or 2 of them, and the rest is the same bs found on every other thread.... had to let some of this frustration out guys, sorry, but that is how i and many of the older members feel. admins where r u guys to keep things in order, we miss the old forum

Well there is that and then there is the fact that this forum is no longer a place for Celine fans to share their thoughts about her, but rather some ''fan club'' of one of its members. I feel like I am in high school again, trying to get into the ''in-crowd''. A lot of members here are so cought up in pleasing the queen bee, that they can't post a comment that express their own feelings and thoughts. Roxy! Where are you?! I got front row for tomorrow night! I had to buy 2 tickets (it was so stressful and random and miraculous all at the same time) I just met with a lovely lady named Deb from MO last night and it was her first time to see Celine so she is going to sit with me in the front row tomorrow night and I hope with all my heart (I KNOW she will) that Celine will sing to her! Cannot wait! Can't believe the luck I've had in Las Vegas-if you guys only knew the half of it! Can I move here now? It could happen to anyone though, you just have to go for it!
