btw, I don't think hibernate will harm the computer. It just doesn't make any sense. Putting your computer to sleep is not good either, I prefer to just turn it off completely. I always set hard disks or LCDS to NEVER turn off due to being idle. They can shorten their life.

I just know what geek squad and my cousin told me and whats on Microsoft's site, everyone so far has said sleeping it is the best thing to do other than turning it off completely.

About Michael's, I have gotten the LP frames, they have some nicer wooden ones- look a little better than the plastic and more durable. I also have gotten some poster frames and some of the 10 x 10 floating frames for 45 LPs and some Céline things that have nice photos or info on the back that I can take off the wall and still see what's on the other side, or if I'm showing someone, it's easier than taking it out of the frame and flipping it. Ohhh and I also got some shadow boxes from there which I am trying to finish and hang, but time is not on my side right now for projects Also got the 12 x 18 frame for my CTTEOTW mini-poster there. They also do custom framing but I haven't had a need for that just yet. There's always a nice coupon for that in the weekly emails. I got my frame for my bridal portrait to hang in there this weekend- was on sale for 40% off, which was nice on an expensive piece like that. I like their variety of materials and sizes.

Anyone ever glued and framed a puzzle? Team Céline sent me a cute little puzzle (you should have seen me immediately clear off the coffee table and not move until it was done ) and a Team Céline baseball cap for being the forum member of the month last month I got all of that this weekend, too- crazy Céline weekend in my mailbox.

 

It's a cool photo and I want to frame it. I frame everything apparently. But I've never done it before and was just wondering if any of you have and what the best way to do it is?

Yes! I'v done this with elmers school squeeze white glue, such as this: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41xd20r9TBL.jpg

It goes clear when it dries! But to make sure, go to the dollar tree and buy a puzzle, put it together, smear the glue onto it and see what it does! I last did it probably 6 years ago but it worked, promise! =]

Geek Squad told me to not hibernate it, just to turn it off or sleep it. My cousin a comp tech said hibernating it is bad on the computer anyway like its hard on it. He also told me just to use sleep or turn it off. How long is to long on sleep? Did they say? I usually don't have my computer off for more than an two hours maybe three at the most if I can't get back home to turn it on if I'm out somewhere.

 

hell, i've done more than 3 hours before on sleep. i just shut the lid and go off to do stuff. and i always hibernate. i cant be bothered to shut it down cuz sometimes i have a lot of things open and its a hassle to find them all again

 

I only switch mine off over night so there are a couple of hours here and there during the day that I just close it and let it sleep.

I think they gave me the advise because mine is one of the cheapest computers. It was only $300.

I'm also paranoid because my husbands laptop ($900) completely crashed last year from not switching it off for several months
