That woman doesn't deserve to have followed Celine for a year. She’s a cat… never know when she’ll turn around and slap you with claws

Isn’t that woman wrote La diva for Céline?

She is not wrong at all - well except for saying we can't recognize her voice. That makes no sense. But she is right about the enigma that Celine has become and how her star is no longer shining as bright. Her main point is that Celine has retreated into solitude after the loss or Rene and Therese. She is saying what we are all thinking.
(Deserted by those who could protect her, Celine Dion has apparently has no one who can bring help to her. One asks themselves why other divas of our era, Barbra Streisand, Madonna, Lady Gaga, for example, are not at the mercy of showbusiness. Because they continue to be acclaimed, respected, succeeding at keeping their diva-like status.)
and then most importantly:
Depuis quelques années, elle disparaissait progressivement de la lumière qui l’a tant éclairée. Elle a traversé une période trouble où l’on publiait des photos d’elle qui dérangeaient ses fans.
For several years now she has disappeared progressively from the light that she has light up so much. She went through a troubling period where people would publish photos of her that bothered her fans.)

But she hasn’t retreated into solitude due to her losses. She was back on stage WEEKS after Rene’s death. She was on stage in Miami HOURS after her mom passed away. She continued with a tour until the pandemic. And then was about to mount a brand new Vegas show. She was working, and out there. She’s simply sick and trying to get better, and Denise Bombardier is now writing tabloid fodder in order to get clicks and views.

This is talking about current Celine. And this is talking about how she's no longer the open book she was. 2016 was 7 years ago. Then she showed us she was a strong woman. You can't deny that there's been a disconnect with fans even before covid. Denise Bonbardier does not write tabloid fodder. She's coming from a good place.
I don’t get a “good place” tone from the article she wrote. It reads as something from a grocery store rag you find at the checkout counter. For someone who has written and is supposedly a respected journalist, I feel like she missed her mark with whatever her intention was.

You could kind of feel the lower budget and the fact that the actors weren't in person for some of the scenes, but someone who didn't know that going in probably wouldn't feel that. Sam and especially Priyanka did a wonderful acting job. I thought all of the characters were really strong and well-casted, and some of the scenes were quite emotional
The songs sounded amazing, especially "Where Does My Heart Beat Now" and they really took the film to new heights. I can't help but think they missed out on a chance to use the song "Immortality" -- it's literally the most perfect song in her repetoire to represent the movie. And when Celine does sing in the film, it feels almost like they just isolated the vocals from
In general re: the love story, I thought Rob and Mira were so cute together, but it is kind of ridiculous how they go on like two dates and he's already saying "I would learn to cook for you"
p.s. I got goosebumps at the lightning/thunder in the beginning of the film, it immediately made me feel the Celine "It's All Coming Back Me Now" universe.

The woman is f**king sick! Lol there was covid and now there is stiff-man syndrome! It’s like she’s beating her down. She’s like “: “get up! you’re our diva, show us more of what you can do!”
She was on a world tour right when all this sh*t happened.
I don’t like that woman (denise). Ive met her before and she’s a complete snob. I used to love her. But when i found out she complained because some employee came up to her to talk to her… i lost all respect for that woman. I saw everything unfold in front of me. She and other people were all casually talking. She was mad about the simple fact that a young man came up to her to talk and not the other way around. Like she’s some kind of queen you cant speak to unless she has spoken to you first. 🤮 (no that guy wasnt me lol)

Where city do you live?
Here in my city, no movie yet
Interior of Sao Paulo...
Well, I was quite surprised the movie came to my city at the first day of release, and even more surprised we got the choice of dubbed and subtitled version!

And OMG, I loved it VERY MUCH...
I feel they treated and made the history in a respectful and serious way, which made the movie far superior than the common rom com...
To me the comedy parts were well dosed and really funny, not a waste of time or unnecessary...
I was very pleased that even if Celine was playing herself, it was a fictional version of her, 'cause that way she can show her acting... And I think she was fenomenal! Very natural like some said...
Her music was the best part of the film, it was like they live in an universe where everything is Celine related, well, some kind of paradise lol
But talking serious, the usage of the music was very good... and the highlight for me was A New Day Has Come!
The story is pretty simple and predictable, but at the end of the day, that's what a rom com is...
But it was very well done, and you can tell everyone involved put effort an their hearts in the project.
Now I can see why they intended the movie to be called IACBTMN... it's basically everywhere in the movie, and that's great...
By the end of the movie I was crying, I think mainly because of Celine... It seems that the movie was a love letter to her... and I got emotional with the last bit of the movie and the music used...
In the session with me were just one woman and her daughter... I think that's because the movie was subtitled, and we're in a thursday... I'm hoping for it to be more watched with time... But in a way, it was good to have almost a private session with nothing to disturb...
Every fan should go see it!

I don’t think we really know the whole story. She clearly is very sick, but I’m sure that we would hear more from Céline if René was still alive. She lost a really important support (the person who managed her career her whole life), and I think it’s caused her to be way more isolated. René was so passionate about her career and I sometimes wonder if it all means less to her now without him. She carried on about how they were always 50/50 and he gave her his half, but I don’t know if I really buy that.

“How did writer-director Jim Strouse get Celine Dion to play herself and write five new songs for his film “Love Again?”
“It took months, maybe even a full year,” Strouse tells Variety. “There was a lot of thought, eating, letters and lookbooks.”
[…]
We didn’t know if we could get her but that was always the dream,” adds Strouse, who thought he had a chance at securing her participation since “we’re all part of the Sony family,” he says. “I thought it would be easy. They’d make a call to someone” — unfortunately, that wasn’t quite the case. When Dion took longer than usual to return Strouse’s calls, he opted for different approaches like sending her a copy of the script and numerous letters until he finally won her over.
[…]
“Celine loved the words that Jim chose and the sensitivity with which he approached her husband’s death and their love story,” adds producer Esther Hornstein. “She was blown away by how Jim envisioned her role and the film.”
While Dion fans might find themselves tearing up over the emotional lyrics of her new offerings, Strouse has already heard from superfans who have pointed out that this is not her acting debut. “Someone told me she was in the 1991 series ‘le fleur de neige’,” he says, prompting Horstein to add: “Well if Celine says this is her acting debut, how can you argue with her?”

About the movie, it’s not bad, it’s not good either. It’s the type of movie that I would watch if it’s on TV but I certainly wouldn’t go looking for. There’s something with the direction in this movie that it just doesn’t fit. I know Jim is a good director, maybe the COVID’s restrictions changed the dynamics too much. But it looks all too fake, like a SNL sketch (but not as funny).
Good thing on it, specially for us fans, it’s Celine. She is the light on a mediocre movie, the best scenes and comedy are all with her. Even my boyfriend, who is kinda of a Celine hater, thought she saved that movie.

But when I got out of the movie, the theatre was PACKED. So I hope some of them were there for Love Again
