A few notes about the film (I won't give any about the main characters and the main story itself as I am really not a fan of rom-coms. This would be purely Celine-related):

- I was surprised how heavily Celine and her music was features in the film. Like we all know she and her music have a significant role in the film but I dodn't think it was THIS MUCH. So that one I really enjoyed. I now understand what Sam meant in one of the interviews when he said this was actually an hommage to Celine. It really felt to me like a "tribute  folm" for Celine and that the two characters' story was just "built around" Celine.

- When I Fall In Love was heavily referenced in the film (well, twixe at least) and I'm surprised it did not make it to the soundtrack albun. I'm guessing it had something to do with the rights.

- You could tell Stephan Moccio really gave rights to ANDHC as you could hear a never heard vocalization at the start of the ANDHC used in the movie, I'm guesong it's from the recording session.

- Cab't believe she just promoted Eurovision DURING Eurovision week, of all times.

- It was my first time hearing about the Seal story.

- the pro shot from the Courage tour was amazing. I wish we could see the entire concert in the big screen in tbis quality.

Celine said that in 1991, she and Seal were supposed to do a duet and she got really excited about it (or Seal himself)... to the point that Rene apparently got jealous and "lied" about it and said the collaboration was no longer going to happen...

Not until Friday when the soundtracks come out. The movie itself only included parts of the new songs.

Ok, so I didn't want to post about it as somebody would probably attack me, disagree with me or whatever. But I'm so happy you've brought it up!!!!

Firstly, I also think objectively that ANDHC, even though it was the ballad version, blended with the movie surprisingly (truly surprisingly!) well, if not the best. For instance, I'll Be it's like 5 seconds out of the blue but here it really blended with the scenes, wasn't too loud like ABM or WDMBN, I don't know it's like you wouldn't expect it in that part of the movie and yet it is much more powerful than ABM part which was so predictable. And yes I thought I was delusional (I only watched once) but I agree it was a DIFFERENT version of ANDHC that we know...   I wonder if we get this other version on CD.....   because the time of the track is also different....

Only the title track was full. The rest were snippets.

Yes! I'm glad you caught that too! Only diehard fans would catch that new part. Others wouldn't even probably notice it or would think it was included in the original slow version.

And yes I agree, ANDHC was the most organically interwoven into a scene  among all her songs used.

I won’t lie, since ANDHC is my favorite song of hers I was beyond thrilled when I heard it come on. Had the biggest smile on my face! I didn’t notice the differences, but I did think it sounded a little fresh. I need to go back to the movie to figure that one out haha

Shame it isn't on the DVD. Is it a bit like the instrumental you hear in the menu?

For sure! I just wish they would’ve wound more of the songs through the film. I get they were just there as accents but still. I do hope that they will be giving us the new version of ANDHC on the sound track!

She did, it was confirmed by Sony at the time, if you can find that topic, it’s mentioned on there
