So ist follows Courage Album fate in the 2nd week:

USA music Chart Positions: #1-#111-out
USA Box Office positions: #5-out of Top 10- some Streaming platform

Thought the movie would be played in theaters at least 3 weeks. Wonder if Warner Bros or any other distributor in the world will cancel the release in other countries due to the dissappointing US Numbers and send the Film directly to streaming

They would be dumb to do that. The other markets should do better.

We just need to relax it’s not the biggest deal if the movie doesn’t do well. It’s a Rom-Com movie plus it’s going against a Marvel movie also.

I’ve just come out of my local Cineworld, had the chance of an Advance Screening as I have an unlimited membership, wanted to wait until Friday so I could have a drink or two first but I was worried it won’t get a proper release past a couple of days during the week as some are speculating, anyway turned up rocking my Celine Hyde Park T shirt and have to say I absolutely loved the movie!!  I think they captured the essence of Celine perfectly with the lines she had…mad as a box of frogs but so endearing with it.  Felt emotional at times and as always, proud to call myself a fan.  Only downside is I now realise how much I miss her 😢

Excited now for the release of the soundtrack as the new songs sound promising and might get another chance to see it before it leaves cinemas 🤞🏻

Well i'm just back from the cinema and awww it was a lovely little movie, it was really was. I'm sure I'll go again before its run ends.

It's clear it was intended for release some time ago. Little nods to the Drake tattoo and the "Celineaissance" showed that. The use of her music worked well and I thought the mix of classic songs and new material worked well. I loved how they used "A New Day Has Come" and the little I heard of new song "Love of My Life" makes me think Stephan Moccio is going to deliver another classic. I loved the reference to "Have You Ever Been In Love" being a deep cut too.

As for Celine's acting, well I honestly thought she was the heart of the film. She lit up the screen every time she appeared and honestly you'd never be able to tell she was never in the same room as the other actors, I thought it was very well done. I was surprised by the amount of references to Rene too but when I think about it of course there would be. He was the love of her life. Two small critiques, I found it odd that Celine said she didn't care if Rob and Mira got together given how the film had gone to that point and secondly, I don't know what else they could've done to end the film but I did feel it ended very suddenly.

As for the end credits, quite honestly it just made me emotional. Celine has always wanted to act, and she's done it and she's smashed it! Seeing the tour footage and hearing the new songs and thinking we may never get those things again is just so sad.   She deserves so much better than her current health situation.

So in summary, if you've got the chance to see this movie in the cinema please go see it. You'll sit there with a huge smile on your face every time a Celine song blasts out the speakers and you may even tear up every time she appears on screen.

Celine, in my opinion has delivered. Again.

It’s just so good to have some new Celine content again, feel like we’ve been starved of her for far too long.  I really hope she comes through this health issue, we need her!

I just got back from seeing this movie!! I must say it’s so cute and such an enjoyable watch. I loved the references all through the movie and loved seeing Celine again. As others have said, even though Celine’s not in the movie all the time, she is still definitely very present. This was just what I needed, a new dose of our queen now I may go back to see this movie again with my mom if it doesn’t go out of the theatres this week! She certainly has great acting styles and it was safe to play herself for this role,  but she could totally branch out now!

As far as the new music goes, well I am totally totally obsessed with The Gift! Can’t want to hear it in full. It also sounds like Love of my Life is gonna be a great fan favorite. Another beautiful sounding ballad from Stephan Moccio and team!

I won’t spoil the ending credits scene, but definitely stay and watch it. It ties it all up so nicely.

Now Celine just needs to get well! This was much too short to see her again, and we need her presence and beautiful voice again

Also there were only 2 people in my theatre, including myself. I stayed to watch the credits as many other people have said, and seeing her on stage doing IACBTMN brought me right back to when I was fortunate enough to see her on the Courage tour. Brought a whole wave of emotions. I’m sad because it brings me back to her performing on stage, but gives me hope for the future! The stage is certainly her second home.

It was a Monday night and I went to the theatre in the not busy busy part of town so I think that’s why. There wasn’t a lot of cars in the lot period for all the other movies.

You know what I think, a lot of haters for this movie is actually the haters(or basic people who don't like Céline much) of Celine. Even after everything she's gone through, people can't stop giving her a hard time

Hard to believe that moviegoers in general aren't a big fan of seeing love story movies like in the past. That's odd to me. But, does seem to be a trend happening.

Since "Love Again" was originally planned for a May 12th release in North America, I truly hope this movie has "leggs" and can at least slightly increase it's box office take
this coming weekend, especially since it's Mother's Day weekend! Hoping the additional promotion through this week by Priyanka and Sam will help and make a difference too.  Would be nice if the movie could at least stay at the box office for 3 to 4 weeks, and make 9-10 million. And, hopefully the movie will perform better internationally.

The critics are being unfairly harsh on this romantic comedy, but one of the most positive things are the reviews from the moviegoers that have seen the movie- on Rotten Tomatoes the movie currently has an audience score of 93%!    That says a lot!  People are loving the movie! , regardless of what the cynical critics have said.

Saw that Deadline article earlier today and agreed with the premise but also, I think people have just been conditioned to know that all you’ll find at a multiplex are superhero franchises (yawn), sequels (zzzz) and Disney (fine if you have little ones but otherwise, snooze). Those of us who use to go to the cinema regularly just no longer bother because there’s rarely anything there that appeals to us. All the good stuff is now found on streaming.
I’d only entertain going to cinema for festivals (good films, good people to meet at accompanying events) or special screenings (with e.g. cast & crew Q&A, so I can at least learn something).
Otherwise, why pay US$22.50/ ticket (+$8 for a bottle of water, not to mention $12 popcorn if that’s your thing), to see something I barely care about, when I can see Oscar-wining actors live on stage for the same price? (e.g. tickets to Doll’s House on Broadway with Jessica Chastain start at $35)

I think the perfect ending would've been Rob and Mira meeting Celine together at the show Celine was preparing for and the final shots of them in the audience having fun and Celine singing to them one of the new songs. Kind of like the original movie but covid and all prevented that so instead we just have footage from CWT and the cast singing along in separately recorded "home" videos.

Seeing those CWT clips made me wish so bad for a theatrical release of the tour
Or at least just a professional release on streaming/DVD

I did wonder why they didn’t film an ending like that too… it wouldn’t have been hard to “green screen” them into the front row, and have Céline give them a wink or something. That would’ve brought the movie to a nice, full-circle ending.

Imo I think that may be the case because romance in other shows/movies is always popular. Shipping characters creates a lot of Fandom activity.

Rom-coms/romance films have just become so generic and repetitive that people don't bother watching most of them. And then a lot of times the leads don't have that strong chemistry that draws people in.

Yeah, idk why they didn't do that. Maybe due to budget? Cause they would've had to create an equiped and lit stage for Celine plus a bunch of extras.
