That was such a beautiful tribute. Those stories were incredible. "Quebec Mafia" was the best one! I fell out of my chair on that one.   Managed not to cry through the whole thing until they started playing 'I Knew I Loved You', then   - and of course I had no Kleenex anywhere around me!

I am off to bed. It was amazing watching this with you all tonight. Such an honour to share such an emotional night with all of you fellow Celine fans. Sorry maybe I'm using the wrong words to describe myself but right now this is how I feel. I like many others wish it was under diff circumstances but still....    Oh and I'll mention it here too but since we never got the full wake (I really don't know what happened at this point) I'll try to put together starting tomorrow a montage of clips. I can't promise you that it will be HD because some are only available in low quality but I will try my best. Hopefully we will one day get the full thing for those who missed it and still wanna see it and even for those who just wanna keep this piece of "history" (I know that sounded wrong)

I watched almost the full thing and Celine looked stunning. I'm so glad to see her smile again and her speech at the end gave me goose bombs.

Oh. My. God. I just watched Celine's speech on youtube, it was so genuine and heartfelt. She did so well. Loved the part about them watching sports, brought tears to my eyes.  But what really got me was David Foster's performance of TCOML. The waterworks just flooded. ugh, I'm crying again just thinking about it.

I'll watch the whole thing this afternoon when I have time. I hope it's still online on the stream link or someone has had the chance to upload it. It's probably going to be a real tear fest... Have to buy more tissues, just in case.

I didn't know the 5 of Hearts was René's lucky card- I found one years ago on the street in Manchester and I have always kept it in my wallet because it obviously makes me think of Céline. I'll cherish it now

It was a WONDERFUL tribute to René and I cried both when David Foster sang TCOML and above all when Celine finished her speech crying. Besides, I realized that yesterday was 02.03: it makes 5, again. We love you René!!!!!!!

Had about 3 hours of sleep overall, feeling distracted a little right now zzz Bit it was totally worth it! I wish we could hear more of these stories, great tribute to a great man. And Celine did an amazing job with her speech ❤️  but I think she is still not prepared  to talk about it, like she has so much things to say and didn't know what to say for such a short time, for example I find  her talking about how it's better to say something not in people faces is a bit random. I hope when some time will pass she will find the way to express her feelings and thoughts

I had to be in bed at a good time for work. Damn responsibilities.  So far I've just seen pictures.  I, too, have to say that her dress looks like the one from the TCOML concert.

It was undeniably beautiful remembrance of her husband. I feel like this is truly what being an open book looks, sounds, and feels like--Celine let us in on their private time, their love, and the work-home balance that characterized their lives together. Bless her and bless their love. Infinitely admirable regardless of the fact that they are celebrities. What a beautiful pair of human beings.

I think it was probably a healing event for all involved, including Celine. However, I do agree that some of what she chose to say struck me as a bit strange. She didn't talk about the family they built together, the story (which we all know) of how they met, no real recollection on the success they shared together. All implied and understood by us. I am not being critical, I just simply found it curious. Perhaps she still needs time to properly express the immense emotional turmoil she is going through. That said, she was strong and elegant.

Go, Celine. You have our hearts and condolences.

Wow that was quite amazing. Loved all the speeches and to hear all the fun and warm stories, like the one from the children with the down syndrom. Heartwarming. Celine is a strong woman. She had a good speech, a bit goofy sometimes, that is how we know her  i think she sure wanted to tell more or liked to talk about many other things she remembers. But i am sure she will not say everything in public but keep those precious memories to herself and always feels Rene his presence in all and everything she does. She will go on. For sure. It will be hard and difficult but she is really a strong woman. Tonight showed she is. Tonight gave another glimpse into their lives. Hearing things we did not know and about how much Rene has meant to so many people.
This was a very respectful goodbye and definately a celebration of his life.
One thing that i thought was beautiful is about the dash between birth and passing away.
It is that little dash that represents all those years that meant so much to so many people and that little dash that meant the many years Celine and Rene spend with each other.
It made me think- that dash must be a worthful dash. Make the best out of your life all the days that you have on earth.

Yes that is what i thought. I think she wants to keep some feelings for herself and not share everything at this moment. She is a strong woman.

Yeah, well we know that sometimes, when she gets emotional, stuff she's trying to say doesn't come out quite right. (Take a kayak, anyone?)
No matter, I don't think anyone can really fault her for that.  Given that she spoke in English, which lets face it, she's just not as comfortable with, I think she still did a beautiful job.  Sure, it was a bit "rambling" as one article I just read said, but I think that's entirely understandable.

Celine looked great! Her speech was so so, but I understood what she meant by standing just there watching tv with Rene, it must be in those simple things where she misses him the most. Is good she will be back soon, she needs to distract herself and work is a good therapy.

Wow, she stayed for another hour? Just, I cannot believe how amazing this woman is. Like you said though, I'm no longer surprised, and my love for her just keeps growing, even when I think that isn't possible.

Anyway, I kind of thought she rambled a bit with her speech too, but like someone else said, it's understandable, and I'm not saying that to criticize her in any way.
I wonder what she wrote? Remember, she said something about writing things down, but that she'd just say whatever came into her head.
