What exactly is she restricted from in her contract with Caesars?

 

As fas as I know she is not allowed to perform outside Ceasars Palace in North America except Quebec, since that is French. Her last contract during AND was like she was not allowed at all to perform outside Ceasars Palace, so that she can now, is good for the fans in Quebec, Europe, Asia Australia and New Zealand. Maybe is doing something like a world tour now but not all in the same year.

 

I also hope she will do some shows (or at least 1) in Holland, she has a large fanbase here

The number was 95k, I think. Close to 100k for sure. Mediatraffic did not include these sales and this sucks because all major Greek singers nowadays release their albums with newspapers and the copies sold ARE taken in account for their certifications. LMBTL sold 1.6m in total and 1.7m when we take into account the sales in Greece.

I would assume the contract only applies to the United States and its territories, Puerto Rico and Canada. I have no idea if Mexico is included as that country can be categorized as either North America or Central America.

 

Anyway, I'd LOVE to see Celine follow-up with the acoustic/unplugged show idea for England. There are so many songs that would sound amazing in an acoustic setting:

So last November she did Belgium and Paris, this November coming, will be Asia. Interesting. they must know where they can sell tickets, and Caesars wouldn't care as they probably don't get a ton of Celine fans flying all they way from China lol

I would DIE if I'd ever live the day to hear NBBMH live again!! I would love her to sing more rare tracks too... but I suppose that could only happy in (English) Canada... 99,5% of the people outside of Canada wouldn't know the lesser singles like TLTK, NBBMH, WFTM,OOR, CTM, I etc and that's why she'll never perform them again

Yes and because Céline's doing more shows and that she's going to be in Vegas for a while still. Also Rod doesn't sell as it good as Céline (anymore). And he performs the same show outside Vegas, which shows it can hurt his Vegas shows.

 

Btw, not only there is talk of China/Macau, Japan, but there's also talk of doing a gig in Dubai.

Hopefully there'll be a big burst of promo for the album there soon then, in anticipation for the tour. Excellent news!! They really want to keep her on top of the money charts with touring, don't they? She'll earn a fortune from this.

Well I think that's true for the earlier singles from the first two albums, as most of her success was in North America and she didn't tour overseas. But here in the UK, TCOML was a huge album so I'm sure songs like OOR and Misled have a good chance of being performed again if they ever created a show like the SA Tour but in English.

Judging by her recent performances, I think it's safe to say she can sing it live. Considering it's kind of her most popular song in East Asia, it would strike me as very important that she sing it live.

Celine is definitely in fantastic vocal shape these days. She could absolutely sing TO LOVE YOU MORE live again. And that would be such a fantastic "keepsake" for us fans.

 

I remember when she sang THINK TWICE live in the UK during the TAKING CHANCES world tour. I got chills simply because it had been SO long since we heard her sing that song. She had been doing essentially the same songs night after night during A NEW DAY -- and when she did a handful of different songs during the TC tour, I was thrilled. I felt similarly about ALL BY MYSELF during that time.

 

There is something so magical about Celine singing one of her "classics" again after so long -- whether it's an English song or a French song.

 

TO LOVE YOU MORE is a very difficult song to sing -- but there's no doubt that it will be included in these upcoming concerts -- and I hope that it will be live. But, at the very least, I wouldn't be devastated if it's at least a new playback. It would be not so great if she just uses the same playback track....

 

We shall see! There's a lot to look forward to with these concerts. Surely we'll get some great new performances!
