no . it's time for NEW songs . but i dont want her to release the new english abum till the end of her vegas deal . as long as she is in vegas she wont be able to promote her albums right , and she doesnt really have the time to choose the right songs. i can wait till 2007 but i know that sony would make her do another album this year which will flop in the charts and would contain tracks from max martin

It's time for new collaborators. The ones she is working with now are getting old and tired. They have been working with her for some time, some of them over many years. They start to repeat themselves, it's boring. She needs new and fresh and un-used people with fresh new ideas, not the same old stuff over and over again.

 

and I'd like to hear her sing classical, opera, Schubert lieder and all that stuff. It would be interesting.

I can't wait the new English album! And I want it soon - please not waiting till the end of her Show in Las Vegas. Because she will sings there till she's 100! She will perform with an artificial denture, dance with sprangs - and I will sit in Ceasar's Palace with my hearing aids...

Ewwww!! Sorry, but I gotta disagree. We all know that she can do it, but PLEASE, NO R&B and definately no rap! We don't want another Mariah Carey. Not that this has anything to do with her, but I don't want anything of that sort.

 

As for the release, I know it'll be best if she does release after the Vegas run, but I'm sooooo wanting a new English CD... Grrr... I hate anticipation!!

celine said herself that there IS going to be a new english album in 2006 . knowing sony she is probably right...they think only for the short term there .

 

i hope u right and celine would release her next english album in 2007 - after the vegas deal is over (end of 2007) .

I really don't think so. She is still promoting her GH in France and Quebec. And she will do it at least for other 3/4 months. TLS is having its first spins in Quebec and France in these very days. And she has still "500 Choristes" with Johnny Hallyday and TLS on "Hit Machine" due January 2006. And the single should last 3 months at least. So, until March 2006. You could say she will release a new album on October 2006, but I don't think so: just few months after the end of promotion for the GH... it would be a wrong step. And Sony won't be so stupid. She should release a new french album in 2007 when she will tour there. Moreover, I don't think Manu Katche in November 2005 knew what he will do on October 2006. It should be a forthcoming project, so I think the special he was talking about will be due February 2006, when Céline will have a long break. Plus, Sony BMG wouldn't have paid RIAA to certify Céline's albums now without any reason (they should be certified long time ago!). She will come back soon... in English!!!

I have learned one thing about Céline recently: Never underestimate her. She may be commercial but IF she really wants something, she will do it. Especially considering the HUGE positive feedback Rene got after her Gatineau concerts. Everyone asked her if she will release a jazz album after that.
