But then again theres hardly any gay guys around where i live :(

Try living in India, bud... then maybe you'll realize how lucky you are to be in the UK :giggle:

For all you people that claim you are 'straight acting', how straight are you when you are blowing someone's whistle? :) As any of the characters on Grey's Anatomy will ask you...Seriously???
Posted
well as far as acting straight I am not acting or talking feminine... (I hate it when a men does that) and I dress 'normally' nothing tight... or feminine... and I don't ware make up! :lmao: blowing somebody's whistle got nothing to do with the way you act! :P

Wow :( I have no idea where to start with this. I think some people's light just flame brigher, naturally. And to describe anything as normal, is absurd. Normal by what or whose account? Aren't we trying to get past the idea of normalcy? Otherwise we are doomed to be ostracized indefinitely. Not even going to touch the makeup comment, as that is neither here nor there.

But your last line is contradicting. That [blowing] is the ultimate act that seperates a gay man from a straight man, which was my whole point of my response. You are what you are and you don't need to be trying to be something you don't want to be. Don't 'act' straight, act like yourself! :)

Davey, I hope you know I'm not trying to attack you. I just believe that tolerance for our fellow gay people should begin with our own people. Otherwise you are just arming the homophobes with ammunition.

Posted

hmmm well don't over react here... normal is a relative term... and what I mean by that is not acting feminine... and you asked what I thought of it... and I gave my opinion! Like you put it, it's like blowing a whislte is degrading, or putting you in a different level... and if I 'act' straight... then that's just me :)

I believe you should accept people as they are... but I also believe in the dutch saying that goes: Just act normal, that's crazy enough ;)

and as for the make-up... you surely don't wanna end up like

so there must have be someone, that told us what a MASCULINE or FEMININ acting, clothing, looking, whatever is!? So I love dancing, I shake my hips, swing around with my arms etc., that may be a more feminine act but I feel like a man and act male and I am gay...

But I never felt the need to describe myself as "straight acting" to identify myself. I'm just a man who is attracted in man...

OKE hello gay people of the forum!! How come this thread is on the second page of the off topic section??!! :nono:

Oke don't butcher me, cos it's my opinion but... this weekend I went with Rick and two dear friends (one hetero chick, one gay) to the PANN party... it's a party for ho/bi/le/he people... but of course there are mostely gay people... now I did enjoy the party and had great fun... but also it made me really glad that I'm not really a member of the 'gay scene'... where you know everybody..and you hug and kiss everybody you know and such.... I dunno... I'm happy with being gay, but I don't wanna get such a big stereotype on me!

PS there were some cute guys there, but last year it was better! LOL and the lesbians... damn!! what I don't get that if you're a lesbian you'd fancy a nice looking woman with long hair, girl clothes etc I imagine? not to somebody where you have to look twice if it's either a 13 year old boy or a 50 year old truck driver? :lmao: talk about stereotypes!! :lmao:

I know exactly what you mean, and I think that's the reason I'm so afraid to tell people I'm gay... I don't want to be associated with that stereotype, cause I'm as far from it you can possibly get.... I'm not judging people, I just don't like it....

and no, I don't want a fancy woman with long hair and girly clothes, that's me :P but I don't wany a butch-type person either...

something like shane in the l word (katherine moennig) is welcome :innocent:
