First spoiler in terms of setlist of the new Paris residency to include a John Farnham tribute…. ( I’ll keep my thoughts to myself 🥱)

Celine to appear via satellite from PARIS to honor him a tribute benefit concert on September 20th.

What do you think she’ll sing? I hope it’s not “You’re The Voice”, since there are many singer participates in the concert so.. I assume one of them will do “You’re the voice” instead of Celine.

Maybe “Help”? I know it’s not his song really but she seemed so excited at the prospect of one day singing it onstage.

It's okay for me, since it's for a good, meaningful reason. And Celine being part of such an event makes sense as we know her carrying for these type of events too :)

Yes I agree, but they won’t agree to pay tribute to him and rehearse one of his songs for a one off performance, this more than likely means she will have a John Farnham cover section of Paris shows.

I know I said I wouldn’t complain but they are marketing this show as a hybrid show of French and English “hits” … Celine has too many of them combined in both languages that she will have to cut some out why should those go at the expense of Tributes again?

I guess I won’t be there so doesn’t make a difference just a feeling.

The Red Heads posted this a few hours ago on Instagram... it just says "Saturday. Shh." Anyone have any idea what this is about?

I’m wondering this also. They sometimes post throwback pics and it’s just literally that, a throwback. The shh part makes me wonder is she about to appear somewhere tonight?

Yeah, that's my impression too. Giving a date (even a vague one) and saying "shh" makes it feel like they have information about something that's about to happen...

If she appears anywhere tonight.. my guess would be Titanique but it’s possible this means nothing right or do these red heads only post like this when then know something? I’m not too familiar with the way they usually operate and don’t really follow them.

Red heads captioned the photo… "we’re two shadows.. chasing rainbows” from IWCT, maybe she comes out with her lesbian lover Dee tonight? 👀 😂

I keep thinking about set list talk and all the reactions to the John Farnham cover. Sorry if this is an unorthodox take, it's definitely not meant to minimize or hand wave anyone's opinion! But just on my end, I'm honestly really happy whenever she does songs just because they mean something to her. Of course I'm forever a fan of her catalogue, but when she chooses songs just because they express something that she wants to express or because they helped her through something or are meaningful to her in a special way, it makes me feel like she really sees her live performances as moments of real communication (as she's always said) where she tries to share something more personal with her audience. It gives us glimpses into who she is inside, what she listens to and loves, what she's found comforting or inspiring or empowering... That feels really special to me, and really human. I'm not sure I'm explaining this well, but it's like... a way of piercing the fourth wall a little so it's a little less frontal and a little more like we're all there, her included, to just commune together in the music. That feels very *her* to me.

I also feel like it makes the shows a little less like a museum of greatest hits and more "alive", like an artist still in the process of practicing her art, still looking for ways to express herself. 💙

And to think where we were just months ago!

I love how none of this is gradual or restrained. We went from “all is lost” to suddenly “everything is possible, sky’s the limit!” Then again, that’s such a Céline (and René) thing to do!

It feels like somebody flipped a switch and it’s all back like nothing ever happened!

I feel the same too. Sometimes it's just hard to believe everything right now is real, it's like too good to be true sometimes :)

I completely agree. Until I hear her live voice and hear more from her I can’t belive it all… to think I was so upset a few years ago that she would never perform again.  It’s wild.
