Interesting surprise. Yeah both songs were fully lipped. TPOL sounds like first verse was taken from some 90's performance but can't be sure which one.

It was the normal lipped she has all those years but re-edited.

Nope. The only big changes are the instrumentation of the songs. The vocals are very noticeable especially when she’s lipping it. It doesn’t match well.

To me it sounded like TPOL had new recent vocals?! Or am I wrong? It didn't sound like previous TPOL vocals.

 

It was so cool to see her on that stage. You could see she totally enjoyed being back on it!

 

Besides probably getting a sh!tload of money, I really feel these are all testings of the waters... to see if she can go back on stage with her own concert! Let's hope better things are to come!!

TPoL was the TC Tour DVD dub version I believe. And of course IA was 33 year old Céline's voice. haha

She looked splendid (yes, get the woman a diva wig). The remix of IA was fantastic. I loved it.

 

So nice seeing out p'tite québécoise back where she needs to be. I am proud.

What an amazing surprise performance, spectacular really. I can’t believe we didn’t hear a single word about it beforehand. She looked stunning and ready to rock that stage up.

 

 

In Arabic it’s not common, at all.

 

It is pretty common especially for the big names like Nancy or Elissa but as you said it’s mainly for logistic reasons I guess.

She’s fine vocally, I think she hasn’t really done a performance that gives her the chance to perform live, it’s only been this and the Olympics… both where everyone has did arrangements due to the logistics of a live show.

I'm worried about that, it means she was not able to prerecord it, I'm alive is not a hard song to sing, and they mixed her voice from the Colour of my love album and an old live performance for the Power of love. It does not sound good to me.

Based on that logic, she should flee the US that just elected Trump. The way I see this, she is there to honour a designer who's got an international reach. No harm in that IMO.

 

I was just thinking the same thing but wasn't sure about being too political. There must be fans on this forum in America who are worried like the rest of the western world is looking on. Sadly that description now or at least soon will be describing the US. Very very sad state of affairs.
